Jason
I sped-walked over to Alex's room and barged in, not bothering to knock. "Alex wake the fuck up, now!" I demanded as I turned the light on.
He groaned tiredly and rubbed his eyes. "What the hell, Jason?"
"Get up, get the others up, and meet up downstairs." I ordered. "It's important."
"This couldn't wait till morning?" He groaned, sitting on the edge his bed.
"No, now get your ass up."
I walked out of his room and went downstairs, grabbing the pictures and note in the envelope and waiting in the living room for all the guys to come down.
"Why the hell are we up at 1 o'clock in the morning?" One of the guys groaned as they all trudged towards where I was at.
"It's about Matthews." I told them, which immediatly grabbed their attention.
"What about him?" My brother anxiously asked.
"I- we- thought he was after me, trying to get back at me for blowing his house to bits." I began. "But we were wrong." The gang shot me perplexed expressions, asking what I meant. "He's not after me, he's after Autumn."
"Autumn?" Jordan asked. "What does he want with her?"
"He's her ex." I told them, but I wouldn't go into detail. I knew Autumn would hate me if I did that. "He wants her back."
"How do you know for sure?" Alex asked.
I took out the pictures and the note, spreading them out for them all to see. "He's been watching me for a few weeks now, and the only pictures he sent me of myself are with Autumn." I explained. "And, he left me a note warning me to keep an eye on her. Only her. He doesn't care about getting revenge on me at all, he only cares about getting his filthy hands on Autumn."
"It makes sense." Jordan said. "Well, sort of."
"Wait, hold up." Marcus said. "Why do you even care? Why should we care? She's just some girl you picked up from school. You're just gonna fuck her and dump her, like you've done with all your other whores. So why should we risk our lives or waste our time protecting one of your whore?"
My fists clenched at his words. He was competely wrong, she wasn't a whore and I would never do anything like that to her. "You're wrong." I spat. "She's not like those other girls, I would never do that to her."
He scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Sure, yeah. Okay. But honestly, I don't blame you. She's fine."
Shooting up from my seat on the couch, I lunged for Marcus, but Alex pulled me away before I could attack him. "Dude, chill. Marcus, shut the hell up and leave him alone." I tried get to him again, but Alex was stronger than me and held me back. "Sit your ass down, Jason."
I glared at him, but obliged and sat down on the couch again. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. "We can't let him get her."
"Why not?" Jordan asked.
"It's just- it's complicated." Was all I said.
"Wait..." Seth finally spoke after being unusually quiet. "Are you and Autumn... together?"
I shrugged, not really sure myself. "I guess you could say that."
"Oh." He mumbled, acting as if he didn't care, but I could tell he did.
"So what are we gonna do about Autumn?" Alex asked.
"We're all going to keep an eye on her, make sure she doesn't go anywhere alone." Marcus had a smirk on his face that I knew all too well. "Except you, Marcus. You'll keep your eyes and your hands off her."
