Autumn
The next day was exactly how it's been for the past two weeks, except instead of completely ignoring my existence, Jason actually acknowledged my presence by sending me small smiles. But we never talked.
It was now lunch time and everyone exited their classes, anxious to get to sit and talk with their friends without being yelled at by their teachers, telling them to be quiet.
I stopped at my locker real quick to put my textbook away, then went to join the others. As I walked past the janitor's closet the door opened and a hand grabbed my arm, pulling me inside the dark closet.
"What the h-"
"Ssh" a voice shushed me. Suddenly the light flickered on the reveal Jason.
"Jason?"
"Hey." He said. "Sorry, I know this is really weird, but I had to talk to you again."
"But I had to talk to you again." That made my heart race, I thought it would thump right out of my chest.
I blushed and leaned against the wall beside the locked door, crossing my arms over my chest. "Well, what do you want to talk about?"
He shrugged, stepping closer to me. He placed his hands on my hips and rested his forehead against mine. "Anything."
I licked my lips nervously. "Why can't we talk in school? It's not like the guy goes here... does he?"
"No, he doesn't." He answered. "But he has guys that work for him that go here, I just don't know who they are."
"How do you know they're here?"
"It's... complicated." He sighed. "I wish I could talk to you and be with you without having to hide."
"Me too."
He bit his bottom lip as he stared at mine, he looked like he was contemplating whether to kiss me or not. He hesitantly leaned a little closer, but stopped. I leaned in, our lips finally meeting. Groaning, he pulled me closer to him and gripped my hips tightly. I ran my fingers through his hair as he slid his tongue into my mouth. This kiss was slower than the first one though, and not nearly as aggressive.
We pulled away after a couple minutes, both trying to get our breathing back to a regular pace. Jason opened his mouth to say something, but decided against it and shut his mouth again. Instead, he placed a soft kiss on my forehead, his lips lingering there for a few seconds before fully pulling away.
"I'm gonna get rid of this guy as soon as possible." His husky voice rung in my ears. "So you can finally be safe." Unable to form any words of response, I simply nodded. "Give me... A week tops."
I nodded again. "Okay."

We talked some more, it seemed like we had been talking forever; I never wanted to leave.
"Lunch will be over soon." Right after he said that, the bell rung. "Or right now."
I couldn't stop the giggle that escaped my lips. "I guess we better go."
"Yeah." Jason agreed, grabbing his backpack off the floor. He unlocked the door and opened it a tiny bit, peeking through. "Wait a minute after I leave so people won't get suspisious."
"Okay."
He slipped out the door and I waited a minute, just like he told me to. I opened the door enough for me to stick my head out and looked left ad right to see if anyone was watching, then I quickly and causally exited the closet and made my way to my locker.
