Her chest rose and fell heavily from exertion, her green eyes glowing in the dim firelight of the warehouse. The man she was intending to go for, to retrieve for her country had disappeared off the map not even twenty-four hours after she had landed. How does a man, that is well known for his ability - both physical and not - just suddenly disappear?
She had came to the conclusion, about fifty three minutes ago to be precise, that he must've had help. Now her help came from 'the eagle' which was a tiny drone, that wasn't visible to the naked eye - enhanced by Fred's magic.
Fred, their technician at their base, was well endeared by magic that helped his nimble hands create magnificent devices. This meant that things that shouldn't physically be possible, suddenly became possible - which lead to the creation of 'the eagle'.
'The eagle' had shown that the four unconscious men were friends of Jeon Jungkook's, and had been for many years. But, in Harper's dismay, that meant that there was a solid foundation of loyalty there from them - which therefore meant any information she had hoped to sap from the young men, had been evaporated into thin air.
"I'll ask you all, one." Her boot hit the floor with a thud, which reverberated around the warehouse. "Last." Another step. "Time." She came to a stop in front of the leader of the quartet, before crouching down, getting eye-level with the barely conscious man. "Where is the boy?"
"Why would we tell you?" He spat and she roughly grabbed his cheeks in her hand, eyes narrowing into a piercing glare.
"You wouldn't want your teammates to perish would you?"
She bathed in the fear that automatically pooled in his eyes, she felt the warmth drain from his face and she stood up, dragging him to his feet as she did so, the pendant was warm against her skin as it started to glow. "I don't know!" He cried. "I really, truly do not know! I haven't seen him since last week!"
"Are you telling me the truth?" Flames licked across her arms, down towards her fingers and the man in her arms nodded hurridly, his brown eyes glowing in the dark, showing the pure terror. "Because I don't like liars, they deserve to burn."
"I swear!"
"What's your name?"
"Chan." He blurted, the tone begging which simply tugged a smile from her lips. "Please- We won't report you, just let us go!"
Harper released the man from her grip, biting her lip in delight when she got the deviant plan. "Truth Seeker." She raised a hand and a orb hovered perfectly above her palm. "Ten second head start, if you or your men have lied once today, my magic will find you and it won't hesitate to burn whoever lied into a crisp. I suggest you start running now."
The four men got up and sprinted towards the exit.
"If you're lying, I suggest you run faster. Your legs may be fast, but my magic is faster."
She counted in her head, the quartet long gone before the orb followed them. She stretched out, counting to another ten seconds before the screams erupted.
"Liar liar, pants on fire." She joked before the gem calmed down, cooling rapidly against her warm skin. "Now little Jungkook~ Where will you be hiding?"
