Jungkook could hear the boys fighting as the lady stood over him, her blue eyes piercing and cold. "Just a little while longer and you'll be our little warrior." She coo'd gently.
Jungkook would've attempted to escape the restraints, to scream out. But he couldn't. The man in the corner of the room had him in a paralysis spell. His mind kept drifting back to Harper. He couldn't help it.
He couldn't help but think this is what she had went through when she was brought in by AMA. The fear she must've felt up until the last moment until she became theirs.
His heart ached for her, he closed his eyes, refusing to look at the woman any longer. With her bird like features it made him incredibly uncomfortable. However, he wasn't going to be scared. He couldn't be. He knew Harper would feel it too, and he wouldn't put her through the immense fear once again.
—
Taehyung hit the floor for the third time, but this time he couldn't get back up. His body wouldn't let him. He saw Jimin hit the floor, and one by one everyone started dropping like flies. Still alive, but barely.
"Need to save Jungkook." He whispered softly, placing his hands on the floor to push himself back up, but soon the person came up to him and grabbed his hair, lifting his face up.
"You'll see him soon. You'll be one of ours before you know it."
—
Harper paced the room, she could feel that something had went wrong. They needed help but she was stuck in this goddamn room.
"For crying out loud Namjoon!" She yelled and kicked the door. "Why did you lock me in!" She knew she was yelling at no one, they were all fighting for Jungkook like she should've been.
She kicked the door again weakly, before slumping against it. Hands on the handle. "Please..." she begged quietly. She rested there for a while, tears beginning to slip. But they were hot, and landing on her bare ankles. She opened her eyes and noticed the handle was dripping between her finger tips and her eyes widened.
She crouched down and looked through the hole where the handle had been and the door slowly opened.
"That's great-" she smiled to herself, but then heard booted footsteps, military style which meant it wasn't the boys.
"Found you Harper. I'm surprised you didn't die from the pendant blast." The voice was slick and sly, and sent shivers down her spine. She knew immediately who it was.
"Ivan." She spoke, keeping her voice strong.
"So you do remember me you traitor." He caressed her cheek. "I'd love you to be back on my squad, and the kids they miss you so much at the compound. But you know the rule."
"Death to those unable to complete their mission and their pendant breaking." She repeated quietly. It had been drilled into her since the moment she became like them.
"You know it." He smirked, shoving her forwards. "Boys take her away."
"The rule doesn't apply to me." She didn't struggle against their arms, the men turning her to face Ivan.
"Actually no, we'll spill her blood here so if they do get her boyfriend back, he can see what happened." Ivan ignored her.
She felt the emotions build up inside of her. "Don't be so rude and ignorant." She barked. "Did you even bother to listen to me? The rule won't, and doesn't apply to me."
"How so? You're weak anyway, so whatever you're planning, it won't work."
"Because your pendant is broke too." She spoke, voice cold and chilling but her eyes holding the same fire they did when she had her pendant. She tore her arms free from the men behind her and quickly put up a shield as she heard the crack of the pendant and screams of the men behind her.
Once the last piece of gem hit the floor, she released her shield and saw Ivan stood there in shock. She looked around and saw the five men who were restraining her dead behind her. Pendant lodged in their necks.
Harper clicked her neck and smirked. "Unlike you. I don't need an amplifier pendant." Her hands began the same formation they did when she was in the cafe with Chan and she burned the men. "Say hello to Miss Bird when she gets there for me."
The magic was finished and Ivan didn't even utter a word, he didn't scream and he didn't thrash about. She turned away before she could see him die. Before she could hear the body hit the floor.
She walked outside and saw his Motorbike parked right by the door. "Perfect." She laughed softly. "Jungkook, hold on a bit longer."
