Harper watched in a daze, vision blurry from the exhaustion as the boys all began hand signals at the same time. They were planning on hitting her with an all magic blow, and she knew she couldn't withstand another one and she knew that she probably couldn't move fast enough to dodge it. She stood her ground, feet shoulder-width apart and closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, almost inhaling the magic in the air.

This would be her last go, and if it worked she could return home with Jungkook. If it didn't work... then she would die here like a fighter of her kind would.

"Guys, what is she doing?" Hoseok strained to speak through the sheer use of the magic he was using.

Harper felt the pendant on her chest heat up hotter than it should've been able to and she knew that she was most definitely putting her all into it. It wasn't even going to be enough to kill them, just injure them enough so she could take Jungkook with no problems.

"Change Of plan!" Namjoon yelled. Harper could barely hear him over the roar of blood flowing through her ears and she felt it slowly trickle down her nose.

"Shit, stop!" Yoongi yelled, and the boys knew he was yelling at her to stop.

Harper reminisced on the kids back at the compound, how they were always happy to see her. Then it changed to Chan, and the rest of his group. It went from her saving Chan and Chan saving her, to how the boys helped her when the hole in the ground appeared and to Felix and Chan wishing her good luck just hours prior.

She smiled softly. She hadn't felt anybody care for her in her entire existence from the moment she entered the compound and the American Magic Association. But in the compound the kids cared for her, on a mission her enemies cared for her.

She had never known what it had felt like until now.

The boys watched in horror as Jungkook began sprinting towards her to make her stop. But time seemed to go in slow motion, she let out a scream as she dropped to her knees and the fire exploded above her and formed into a large bird before swooping down towards the boys, who had all put their shield together to protect themselves. Except Jungkook, who ducked beneath the magic before being blown back by the sheer amount of magic she was releasing. He heard one crack, and then another, and his eyes widened when he saw the pendant shatter. He quickly covered himself in his shield to protect himself from the shards of pendant.

It had went silent apart from the ringing in his ears, as if an explosion had went off. He opened up his shield and all he could smell was smoke. He couldn't see it though, he couldn't see much after the brightness of Harper's magic had extinguished.

"Jungkook, are you okay?" Seokjin yelled.

"I'm fine!" He called back, turning and smiling at the boys who were covered in small scratches. He then looked towards where Harper was, and he had to squint to see. But he could make out the limp body on the floor, her red hair flared out underneath her, and the shallow and slow rise and fall of her chest. "She's still alive..." Jungkook whispered to himself before running over again and this time dropping to his knees next to her. The floor underneath him scorching hot. But as a fire mage he didn't feel it as hot as it would've been. He gently scooped her up so she was sat up and felt for her pulse.

Slow, irregular - and not a good sign.

"We have to save her." Jungkook looked back towards the group of older men. "Please."
