SHERLOCK'S POV

It had been over a week since Moriarty had taken her. Gary and Scotland Yard have continuously been looking and Mycroft has his people searching as well. John has been helping Gary and the others search while I've been doing things on my own. I've been using all of the information I have on him to try and figure out where he could have taken her.

Baker Street had been dreary since her disappearance. John and I barely speak, Mrs. Hudson is constantly crying. I've pushed aside all other cases to put Elizabeth first. I couldn't believe I let him take her. He likely could have killed her by now knowing their history. Or he's using her as leverage to get to me.

Storming past his assistants, I walked into Mycroft's office and slammed my hands on his desk. "It's been over a week and Moriarty is still out there. Elizabeth could be dead by now. How have you not found anything?"

"It's very good to see you, brother mine. Nice of you to stop by for a visit." He said in his usual smug tone.

"You are the British government, yo-"

"Before you start going off, I have." He said, quickly cutting me off. He opened a file, showing me a photograph of her car. "Elizabeth's car was seen passing through Slough. Moran was driving it. There was no sign of her in the car. We lost track of it once they realised we were following them."

"You work for the government, you use MI5 security, how did you manage to lose them?"

"We've been working round the clock to find her, just trust me." His tone softened. "I know how much Elizabeth means to you. Sentiment is a new thing for you, but you shouldn't get too attached in case..." His voice trailed off. Before he could say more, I stormed out of his office. I should have known he'd pull the sentiment card again.

I went back to the flat to find John sitting at the table going through stacks of papers.

"No luck with Gerry?"

"It's Greg, and no. They've searched all the abandoned buildings he would likely hide out at and has officers constantly out looking, but nothing. What about Mycroft's search?"

"Elizabeth's car was found in Slough, but they somehow managed to lose it." I rolled my eyes and plopped down in my chair.

Letting out an exasperated sigh, John stood up and walked over to the window. "Sherlock... Liz's car is parked outside. Just the car. I don't see her anywhere."

"It's outside?" Getting up from my seat I rushed downstairs, John following behind me. Parked on the road was Elizabeth's car. The words 'Miss me?' had been keyed across the doors. The inside of the car was untouched. Her work bag and perfume bottle laid on the front seat as usual.

"I don't understand...Why would he just return her car? Other than keying it, it looks untouched.." John opened the car door and began to look around.

I had a horrible feeling about this. Though the interior was untouched, there had to be more to it. He wouldn't be this simple with things. I walked around the car, observing the details of it. I noticed a small splatter of blood outside the boot.

"Dear God.."

"What? What did you find?" John asked as he came over.

I slowly opened up the boot. Laying in there was Elizabeth. She was handcuffed and only wearing her undergarments. There was a large bash on her head, she had multiple stab wounds. Her body was covered in blood and bruises.

"Oh my god, Lizzie..." John quickly took her pulse. "She barely has a pulse. Call an ambulance!"

"Sherlock, what's going on? What did you find?" Mrs. Hudson walked out of the flat. She made her way to the car and began to cry once she saw Elizabeth.
