ELIZABETH'S POV

It had only been a few weeks since the wedding and so much has already happened. Sherlock and John have become increasingly more popular due to their cases, which led to Scotland Yard giving me more cases with them. Also an array of information about the three of us in all the newspapers and such. That doesn't seem too bad, does it? Well, you know what always makes things worse: James Moriarty.

Within a matter of a day Moriarty had managed to break into the case to get the Crown Jewels, open the vault at the Bank of England and unlock all the cells at Pentonville Prison. This had led to 'The Trial of the Century' as the news has called it. The three of us had gone to the first day of the trial, Sherlock being called as key witness. You can guess how that went...

"What did I say? I said, 'Don't get clever'." John lectured Sherlock as he signed for his personal belongings after being thrown in a cell by the judge's orders.

"I can't just turn it on and off like a tap." He turned to John and I. "Well? You were there for the whole thing."

"Like you said it would be. Sat on his backside, never even stirred."

"He's not mounting ant defence." I glanced at them as we walked out to the cab to take us home. "This is going to end badly. I can already tell."

"He broke into the three most secure places in the country, no one knows how or why. But what we know is that he ended up in custody."

Sherlock put his hands up to his face in the usual prayer like position, causing John to let out a small groan.

"Don't do that."

"Do what?"

"The look. You're doing it again."

"Well, I can't see it, can I?" He looked around. "Elizabeth, what look is he talking about?"

"Honestly Johnny, I think it's a cute look." I smirked, causing him to groan again.

"Moments like this is when I get annoyed by you two being a couple.." He shook his head. "It's your 'we all know what's really going on here' face. And I don't really know what's going on."

"If Moriarty wanted the jewels or the prisoners roaming free, he would. The only reason he's still in a prison cell is because chose to be there." Sherlock explained. "Somehow, this is part of his scheme."

The taxi had arrived at Baker Street. Sherlock and John went up to the flat as I went to Speedy's to meet Molly.

"Liz! There you are!"

"I'm sorry I'm late! Sherlock upset the judge..no surprise there.." I rolled my eyes and sat down across from her. "How are you?"

"I'm good! I have a date later tonight." She smiled. "His name's Drew. He's a friend of a friend, so we'll see how this goes."

"Ooo, that's exciting! You'll definitely have to let me know how it goes." I took a sip of my tea.

She continued to smile for a moment before it faded. Looking around the room at everyone reading the newest headlines she turned to me nervously. "So..are you doing alright? With Moriarty being back I know it must have you a bit.."

"Terrified?" I let out a stiff laugh and shook my head. "I try to act as if it doesn't. I've been putting on a brave face through this. Sherlock doesn't need more to deal with, which is exactly why I didn't tell him that I've heard from Moriarty."

"You what? Liz, you have to tell him! Tell John!"

"No, I can't. This is my battle, Molly. I don't need them fighting it for me. Just promise me that you won't say anything to them."
