ELIZABETH'S POV
After staying in hospital for a few days, the three of us finally came home. Our first few nights were a bit rough, as expected. It was very obvious that Sherlock barely had any clue how to change a nappy, which I found to be slightly cute. During the first few days his constant 'Uhh, Elizabeth..? Is this on right?' completely made me fall in love with him even more. Overall since we had brought Grayson home I noticed a change in Sherlock. He seemed more alert and jumpy than usual. Every time the baby made a noise he rushed over to make sure everything was alright.
Currently I was getting dressed while Sherlock had the baby. I walked into the living room to find Sherlock carrying Grayson around the room, discussing one of their cases with him.
"So, from the information I gave you, are you able to identify who the murderer is?"
The baby just smiled and cooed loudly.
"Yes, murder makes me feel that way too, but who is the murderer?"
"You do realise that he can't talk yet?" I chimed in.
Sherlock turned to me. "Of course I know that, but I'm still going over cases with him. He needs to get started early."
I couldn't help but giggle. "He's already a consulting detective in training."
Grayson began to get fussy as Sherlock quickly walked over me. "Elizabeth, he's crying."
"I know. He's probably hungry or needs changed."
He quickly handed the baby to me. "Here. Feed him."
"Oh, you're just afraid that he needs changed because you don't like nappy duty." I smirked at him as I sat myself down and adjusted myself to feed him. "You're just hungry, aren't you? Yes you are."
"Speaking of which.." Sherlock cleared his throat. "Elizabeth."
"Hmm?"
"When are we having another baby?"
My head quickly shot up as I looked over at him. "Excuse me. What?"
"A baby. When do you plan on us having another?"
"Sherlock, I just gave birth not too long ago! Do you want more children?"
He just shrugged lightly and turned away. I knew that he did, he just wasn't going to say it easily.
"Sherlock Holmes, you really want more children?"
He didn't say anything at first. He just walked over to the window and looked outside. "I want a daughter. At some point. Possibly. Three is an odd number, four would be better."
After I finished feeding the baby, I laid him down in his cot and walked over to Sherlock.
"Did you mean what you said?"
He didn't say anything. I cupped his face with my hand and then began to run my fingers through his hair. "Sherl.."
"Yes. Yes, I want another child."
"I thought.."
"That's what I thought too." He paused for a moment. "Things have changed, though. We've changed." He glanced over at Grayson. "Having a family isn't something I ever thought I'd do..but here we are."
"Having a family with you is the greatest part of my life. I would love for us to have another baby. Not now, of course, but in the future. We already have our hands full with this one."
