ELIZABETH'S POV
It had been a long morning at Baker Street. Sherlock stood in his usual spot, staring at the papers on the wall, while I was at the table looking through piles of paper. He was focused and deep into thought.
"Elizabeth, have we received all of the RSVP cards back for the wedding?"
"Yes, we have." I quickly flipped through the stack. "Almost everyone's coming."
"Harry's not, I presume."
"Of course not. I'm not upset, though. I didn't think she would."
"I have also decided on the serviettes. We're going with Sydney Opera House." He said as he pulled out a small tray with multiple serviettes already folded.
"Look at you!" I smiled. "I'm impressed and I also like the choice. I'll call over and let them know for the dinner."
John then walked in as Sherlock and I continued.
"You made sure that the bouquets match yours and the bridesmaid dresses?"
"I sent the florist a material sample of the bridesmaid dress so that they could find the best flowers to go with it."
He gave a small nod as we flipped through the large stacks of papers which had all the information for the wedding. "I'm glad we decided to go with sky blue for the colour."
"Are you two really doing this?" John piped in as we turned to him. "You are actually planning your wedding?"
"Why yes, we have been for some time now. I'm surprised it took you this long to notice."
John rolled his eyes and walked over to us, flipping through the papers.
"I can't believe you actually got him to do this." He said to me. "I really don't get how you did it."
"John, I will have you know that I do care very much about your sister and I feel that she deserves a proper wedding." Sherlock boasted as I couldn't help but smile. He's trying not to show it around the others but he's completely spoiling me with this wedding. I love it.
"He's my perfect man, Johnny. I'm very lucky."
"Well then, I'm going to let you get back at it. I'm going to get something to eat." John went over to put on his jacket. "You two want anything?"
"No thanks. Enjoy your lunch!"
And with that he left. I turned to Sherlock and pulled the papers he was looking at out of his hand.
"Darling, I think we need to talk about the best man."
"Oh, that's easy." He turned to me. "Billy Kincaid. The Camden garrotter. Vast contributions to charity never disclosed. He also personally managed to save three hospital from disclosure."
Oh, this man. He's so adorable when he does things like this.
"No, no. Not like that. Your best man for the wedding. I already asked Molly to be my maid of honour. You need to pick someone to be your best man."
He then laid back in the chair and placed his hands in prayer position against his face as he went into thought. Only my soon-to-be-husband would put this much complex thought into his best man.
"Well, seeing how Molly is your maid of honour and you two are so close it would only make sense that my best man be someone that I'm also close with."
I gave a small nod. "Yes. Someone who would be your best friend maybe."
He then went back to thought as I laid back in my chair and waited. "Sherlock.."
