ELIZABETH'S POV
After being gone for two years, Mycroft finally had something for us back in the UK. Together, Sherlock and I managed to dismantle Moriarty's network. It was much more brutal than we expected. These last two years have been full of pain, suffering, distance, love, and a few surprises.
I walked down the hallway to Mycroft's office. Making my way inside I saw Sherlock getting a shave and Mycroft sitting at his desk.
"Anyway, you're safe now." Mycroft set the newspaper down on his desk and motioned for me to said down. "Brother mine, you should be thanking me for finding a safe place for your wife to hide since she couldn't be on the operation anymore.. That was a surprise that I did not expect..."
"We both know we couldn't risk having her with me at the end of it. Those circumstances weren't fit for she or the baby."
"Which I'm still shocked about.."
I looked between the two of them and ran my hand across my small bump. "You do realise that I'm sitting right here."
"Elizabeth and I both realise that the baby was not planned, but we had discussed having children at some point. At least I have a wife to have children with, Mycroft, unlike you." Sherlock shot back, standing up from his shave.
"Oh, come on, Myc. Doesn't Uncle Mycroft have a nice ring to it?" I asked him with a smirk.
A woman then walked in with a suit for Sherlock. Soon he began to change as Mycroft walked over to us.
"I need you two to give this matter your full attention, Sherlock, is that quite clear?"
"What do you think of this shirt?" Sherlock asked me.
"Sherlock!" Mycroft yelled in annoyance.
"I think it makes you look quite attractive.."
He smirked at me and glanced at Mycroft. "I will find your undercover terror cell. Just put us back in London. We need a proper home to live in."
Mycroft's assistant began to explain the matter with us until I soon intervened.
"Do we know how my brother is doing?"
"John Watson? We meet up every Friday for fish and chips." He said, causing me to glare at him. "I've kept an eye on him, of course."
"Did I ask for attitude, Myc? I want to know how John is." I shot as him as Sherlock and I then began to look over the file.
"We haven't been in touch at all, to prepare him." Mycroft stated.
I looked in the file and saw a photo of John with a moustache. "Oh, Lord, we'll have to get rid of that."
"Of course. He looks ancient." Sherlock agreed. "Can't be seen wandering around with an old man. I think we should surprised him. He'll be delighted."
"You think so?" Mycroft asked.
"Hmm, pop into Baker Street, who knows, jump out of a cake." He said with sarcasm.
"Baker Street? He isn't there anymore."
We turned to Mycroft shocked. "What?"
"It's been two years..in case you two have forgotten. He's gone on with his life."
"What life? I've been away." I then elbowed Sherlock. "Okay, okay, we've been away. Where's he going to be tonight?"
Before Mycroft could hesitate I shot him a look. "He has a dinner reservation in the Marylebone Road.. And Elizabeth I must say you have so much more attitude now than you did before."
