None of us moved.
Five friends, split, shattered, broken, stared each other down.
"Hey, Mr Stark," Peter broke the silence from behind us. "What should I do?"
"What we discussed. Keep your distance. Web 'em up." Tony replied.
"Okay, copy that!" Peter swung off.
"Oh, no, you don't," I said, running after him.
No one stopped me as I followed after him, swinging on vines.
Once I reached the terminal, where Barnes and Sam were, Peter was on the window.
"What the hell is that?" Barnes asked.
"Everybody's got a gimmick now," Sam grumbled.
Peter swung through a glass window and kicked Sam away.
Barnes threw a punch.
Peter caught his fist and twisted it away from them. "You have a metal arm? That is awesome, dude!"
In a swift movement, I swung in on a vine through the window Peter had smashed and grabbed him, dragging him away.
Sam came and helped me soon after, grabbing onto his other arm.
"You have the right to remain silent!" Peter shouted, whacking Sam and wriggling like a worm,
"You've always wanted to say that, haven't you?" I asked.
He nodded. "All my life."
He fended us off and caught onto Sam's wing pack, flying after him.
I dropped to the ground alongside Barnes.
"You know him?" Barnes asked.
I nodded. "He's my boyfriend."
Barnes cast me an amused look, causing me to glare at him. "Shut up."
A snort came from his mouth.
"I said, shut up."
"Or?"
"I'll root you like a tree and leave you to the spider."
"Fair."
Peter was on top of a beam.
Barnes and I hid behind a pillar that I made as Peter caught the large plank that Barnes had thrown.
"Hey, buddy! I think you lost this!" he shouted, flinging it back.
Barnes and I ducked back as it came crashing past.
Peter flung a web at Sam, sending him to the floor. He quickly webbed him by his wrists to a balcony. "Those wings carbon fibre?"
"Is this stuff coming out of you?" Sam asked incredulously.
"-that would explain the rigidity-flexibility ratio, which, I gotta say, that's awesome, man." Peter carried on as if he wasn't interrupted.
"I don't know if you've been in a fight before, but there's usually not this much talking."
"Alright, sorry, my bad." Peter chuckled.
Barnes jumped in the way as he swung down, but we were sent through the glass balcony and onto the ground.
I stopped at the edge but was pulled over and hit the ground with a thud and a crack. I cried out in pain as Peter webbed us up.
"Guys, look. I'd love to keep this up but I've only got one job here today and I gotta impress Mr Stark, so, I'm really sorry-" He aimed a web at us but Redwing, Sam's robot bird thing, grabbed him and dragged him through another window. "Wwahhhh!"
"You couldn't have done that earlier?" Barnes asked.
"I hate you," Sam replied.
I made a sharp rock and tore through the webs. "Sorry guys, I'd love to stick around, but I've gotta go kick my boyfriend's butt."
"What about us?" Barnes asked.
"Help yourself!" I tossed the rock back, hitting Sam in the head with the flat side.
"Ow!"
A snort, then silence.
Then, "I like this kid."
(A/N)
Heyyyyyy losers (kidding, kidding) how y'all been?
That was cringe.
I apologize.
I loved writing the interactions between Bucky and Ashley cos it's gonna be so much fun later on too. Also Peter and Ashley have the best conversations even though they're fighting and argh. I want that kind of relationship someday, even though I probably never will have it.
