The next two days of school flew by and before we knew it, the Pevensies and I were walking through the busy train station.
"Hurry Lu or well miss the train, and I for one sure don't want to be stuck at school for the next two weeks." Peter exclaimed, as he pulled Lucy through the crowds, the rest of us on their heels.
I clutched on to Edmund, hard, as we brushed by strangers and made our way to the large train. I stepped up through the doorway and walked straight into someone's back. "Sorry." I grumbled, smoothing my blouse, still not bothering to look up.
"You should really pay more attention. One of these days you're going to run into someone who might actually get mad about it." Peter smirked.
As soon as I heard him speak, my head shot up, eyes wide. I quickly regained my composure and smirked back. "And who, exactly, would be mad about getting a chance to talk to little ole me?"
"Nobody I can think of, but people are weird." I giggled and gasped at the same time, as a hand shoved me from behind.
" Keep it moving there people." Edmund pleaded, sarcastically.
"Over here!" Susan called over the noise of overly loud people and the trains sharp whistle, capturing our attention. The three of us quickly joined Lucy and Susan in the once empty compartment and took our seats. I had every intention of sitting next to Edmund, but he slid in beside Susan, leaving me to sit next to Peter. Glaring at him, I took my seat and looked out the window, across peter.
"You staring at me like that is making me very uncomfortable." Peter whispered, shattering the silence.
"What?" I asked frantically. "I most certainly was not staring at you!"
"Okay." He rolled his eyes and glanced out the window. "Wouldn't be the first time, that's for sure."
"Ugh!" I gasped in response. "I was looking out the window for your information, same thing you're doing."
I heard a small laugh escape his lips and I couldn't help but smile.
"How much further?" Lucy whined to Susan.
"We just got on Lu." She replied tiredly. Lucy sighed and let her head fall on Edmunds shoulder.
'Sleep sounds like a pretty good idea right about now.' I thought to myself. Exhaling a deep breath I hadn't realized I was holding, I closed my eyes and rested my head against the top of the red and white seat, letting the darkness consume me.
