"Are you going to tell me what happened?" Susan asked me gently as she grabbing my arm, pulling me to a stop.
"What do you mean." I rolled my eyes and tried to walk on, but she stepped in front of me.
"Back there! With you and Peter!"
I stepped around her and tried to ignore her repeated questions as she trailed close on my heels. "What do you want me to say? We did are little 'you insult I insult' thing and we got a little caught up in the moment. "
I heard her giggle. "He looked like he was going to kiss you. "
I spun around. "He most certainly was not!"
"You know," She started, linking her arm with mine and starting a slow walk. "There are times when I can't seem to figure out if you like Peter or Edmund. " I shook my head violently. "And I don't think you know sometimes either. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy with you dating either of them, but it seems rather unfair to them."
"I -I don't like Edmund like that." She nodded thoughtfully. "He's my brother, un-biologically of course. Now Peters a different story. " We both laughed. "I don't know. Sometimes he annoys the heck out of me and I just wanted to smack that smug face, but others..... he's so wonderful. Those little arguments that we have are literally the highlight of my day. "
I rubbed my free hand over my eyes and groaned. "Why does this, of all things, have to be the most complicated!"
