"I can't believe Christmas is tomorrow." Susan sighed as she joined the rest of us in the backyard.
"Well don't you sound thrilled. " Edmund joked.
She ignored him and turned to face Lucy and I. "Have you two finished wrapping all your presents?" We nodded simultaneously.
"What did you get me?" Peter asked suddenly.
"Nothing!" Susan replied hastily.
"I was talking to mags. "
"Oh." I sputtered. "Um... you'll just have to wait and see."
He smiled and winked before laying back down on the grass. I propped my self up on my elbow and rolled to face him. "What did you get me?"
He mimicked my position and pretended to rack his brain for the answer. "I can't seem to remember." He shook his head. "Shame, that is. Guess you'll just have to wait until tomorrow morning. " I rolled my eyes and rolled back on my back.

"And I thought Lucy was excited before." Edmund mumbled as we took turns trying to catch her and put her to bed. After a few more times of chasing her around the kitchen table, Peter finally managed to get her to her room. We heard a couple more whines from her before Peter emerged saying She'd fallen asleep in the middle of a sentence.
"We should all probably do the same. "Susan exclaimed.
"Why? Afraid if we stay up too late Santa won't come?" Edmund asked in mock concern.
"Of course not! I just think we should all get a good nights rest. We all know Lu's going to have us up at the brink of dawn."
"True." Peter replied. "Come on all." We all stood and headed down the hall together, each of saying goodnight to each other and branching off to our rooms.
"Lady Mags." I turned sharply.
"Why do you call me that?"
Peter thought for a moment before answering. "That's what they'll call you in Narnia. "
"Will?" He took a few steps towards me and I did the same.
"What?"
"You said that's what they will call me in Narnia."
He nodded once we were standing in front of each other. "Yes. I plan to take you there someday."
I rolled my eyes playful. " I thought only Aslan had the power to send you to and from Narnia?"
"That's true, but I know he wouldn't want you to miss out on something as wonderful as Narnia. " He paused. "Or for Narnia to miss out on something as wonderful as you."
I laughed, pushing his arm. "No because that would be tragic!" He smiled and began walking back to his room.
"Peter." I called.
"Hmm."
"What were you going to say?"
He looked at me, face twisted. "When?"
"Well, you stopped me from going in my room for a reason."
"Oh! Just.. um.. Wanted to say goodnight."
I smiled warmly. "Sleep tight."
He smiled once more before pushing open the door and stepping inside, closing it securely behind him. I sighed and threw my head back, staring up at the ceiling. Only then did I notice the beautiful, small sprig of mistletoe hanging above my door.
