(This is back to Violet's point of view)
Red Captain walked out of the restaurant, and left me there to think about how to say goodbye. How do I tell Flynn i'm going to leave the island with the Red Captain. He's only one of the most feared pirates in the land.
I walked into the backroom. Flynn, and about six other people were hiding back there. I motioned for Flynn to follow me out to the main room, and he did.
Once we got into the main room, we both took a seat. I couldn't look in his eyes.
"I'm going to be leaving the island with the Red Captain. He's going to take me to other islands, and let me explore in exchange for information. I have to leave soon, so this is a goodbye."
He looked at me in shock.
"Are you serious? How could you go with the Red Captain. He's one of the most feared pirates in all the land for a reason. He might kill you as soon as he gets all your information, or sooner than that! You have a good life on the island. Why do you want to leave? What about Veronica?"
"I've always wanted to explore more of the world, and you know that. I don't want to be stuck on this island all my life! I don't think he'll kill me, and we both know Veronica will be fine without me."
"You're not going and that's final."
"You can't keep me here!"
"Yes I can! I pay for everything for you! You wouldn't be here if it weren't for me! If you leave, you'll lose your shop, and everything inside it!"
"I'll live somewhere else!"
"You're not leaving!"
"Yes I am! You can't control my life! You're not my real dad!"
After I screamed those words, I ran out of the restaurant, and towards my home. What was said hurt, but I need to start packing.
