Hey guys! I have a few things to say here about both this book and my writing in general. I have a lot I want to say and explain and I hope you guys understand!

First of all I want to say thank you to everyone who reads my stories and following up this far! I really appreciate those who have supported me and my writing this far and I hope you can continue to support me and the stories I will be creating.

I want to talk about my writing and what's happening with it. I do have a great passion for writing and creating stories, but it has become difficult for me to keep up with everything. My writing has slowed down because I'm also dealing with other things like school and my daily life. It has been difficult to find time and motivation to write these stories. I'm hoping that soon I will be able to continue writing more.

This is the first book I've ever written both on and off Wattpad, and even though it isn't finished I still consider it my first full written book. Everything was planned out from the beginning to the end of the book. I still have the drafts for the rest of the chapters, but they won't be published. I've decided to stop this book all together.

I started writing The Violet Rose in April of 2019. At the time, the first 25 chapters were planned out with a close friend of mine. After those chapters were completed I started writing on my own and developing the story in my own. While all this was happening I was also trying my hardest to make others happy with the book by adding a few ideas my friends had and their characters. Over time this became more difficult for me to write and it changed the path of the book slightly. Some of these characters were killed off as a way to make it easier for me to write, but it didn't work. I realized that not only did the characters have a meaningless and anticlimactic death, but they were to much developed to just disappear and the story to move on. The story started to rely on these characters and changed too much from what I imagined.

That wasn't the only problem though. When I look back at the story now I see a lot of problems that I created. I think my writing has changed over time and I would like to think I've become a better writer. To me, there is so much I don't like about this book anymore. I don't like most of the characters anymore and I don't like how the story was going.

I'm not going to list off everything I don't like, but I will give you a few things. Looking back now I believe violet is too naive and innocent, and Blaze is too violent. Their relationship together is very toxic and unhealthy and I realize that now. I also think too many of the characters were underdeveloped and didn't have enough personality and set in stone traits. There wasn't much room for me to expand on their characters. Originally some characters were going to be different than how they ended up being. For example Chester was a lot worse than I imagined and he didn't have enough personality or background as I had hoped. He had no motive for anything he did and I hoped he would. I'm also unhappy with how the story was going to end. In my opinion the way I was going to end it left too many open ends and questions unanswered. It wasn't satisfying enough.

I do believe that there is a small chance for the book too come back. However things will be very different if it does happen. If I do decide to re create this book, I will try to add more detail, better plot, better characters, and a satisfying story to everyone. This book started with the help of other people and I would like to think that they could help me create a better story later (if they are willing). If The Violet Rose does come back, it won't be anytime soon. I plan to first focus on books in progress and finish those first.

I want to thank you all again for all your support and reading this far. I hope you understand why I'm doing this and continue to support me. I hope I can bring you better stories in the future.

Thank you all!
