Me, and Olivia were in the kitchen preparing dinner. We were making chicken and potatoes. I was working on the potatoes, and she was making the chicken. It took us a while to finish, but when we did, we put the food on serving trays, and set them on a table in the dining room. A few minutes later, the crew started to enter the dining room.

The crew was thanking us as they got their food. Olivia seemed surprised every time someone said 'Thank you'.

She looked at me, and said, "You must be changing everyone on the ship, but in a good way. No one has ever thanked me for making dinner before this. I think you put everyone in a good mood, including the Captain and First Mate. They're usually so cold and distant."

"I don't think I changed everyone that much. Maybe all you guys needed was some excitement."

She laughed, "We get plenty of excitement around here. I think it's just your positive energy. Anyway, you should bring the Captain his dinner. He usually eats in his quarters, instead of with the crew."

I nodded, and she handed me a plate of food. Then, I started making my way to the Captain's quarters. When I stepped onto the main deck, the sun was setting, just like last night. However, I still has the Captain's dinner, so I couldn't stop and admire the sunset.

When I got to the door, I knocked twice, and waited. I heard a faint 'Come in' from the other side, and opened the door. the Captain was sitting at his desk with his notebook in front of him, and a quill in his hand. I walked up to his desk, and set the plate of food next to his journal.

"Enjoy your meal.", I chirped before turning around to leave. I gently closed the door behind me as I stepped out, and onto the main deck. I walked over to the side railing, and leaned against it. I loved watching the sunset.

I stood there, and admired the view for a few minutes, but left when I got the feeling of being watched again. I walked down to the storage closet, and started getting ready for bed.

I changed into my nightgown, slipped the ring on my finger, and grabbed my diary to start writing.
