Chapter 53- Introductions

     Casper's small body squirmed in my arms and I sat up off the main deck floor. Blaze shuffled closer to me, and gently touched my arm.

     I released Casper, and he sat on my lap. Jewel and Olivia leaned closer to get a good look at him. Curiously, Jewel touched a strand of his blue and white hair.

     His small hands reached for her arm, and he grabbed her hand. Jewel laughed, and let Casper play with her hand.

     "He looks a lot like the Blue Captain," Olivia pointed out.

     I nodded, "He gets most of his looks from Chester, but he did get one of his eye colors from me. Other than that, he's practically a copy of Chester."

     Jewel gasped, "So Chester was the one to take away your innocence?"

     Heat rushed to my face as I mumbled a small, "Yeah."

     "I thought for sure that it would be my idiot brother who took it from you. I suppose there's still a chance for you to have more children, but he lost the privilege of being the first and only one to have children with you. Of course, Casper is adorable, but you should have kids with my brother!" she ranted.

     Blaze lightly pushed her, and shouted, "Shut up!"

     The girls simply laughed, and Jewel got her hand free from Casper's grasp. I slowly picked up Casper, and stood up. The others stood up next to me, and I could feel the curious gazes of the crew on me and Casper.

     I quietly mumbled, "We should probably introduce Casper to everyone."

     They all silently nodded, and Olivia and Jewel left me and Blaze. He silently grabbed my hand, and gave it a small squeeze.

     We walked up the stairs to the upper deck where Phillip was steering the ship. He must have sensed us approaching because he slowly turned around.

     Phillip smiled at us, and asked, "What can I do for you two?"

     I walked towards him with Casper in one arm, and Blaze's hand in my other one. Phillip let go of the wheel, and only now seemed to notice Casper.

     "This is my son, Casper."

     Phillip smiled, and bent down slightly to look at Casper's face. He smiled at him, and Casper responded with a small giggle.

     Casper reached out towards Phillip. Blaze grumbled next to me as his first mate gently ruffled the little ones hair.

     Phillip looked back up at me, and said, "I'm guessing by the blue hair, pale skin, and blue markings that he's also the Blue Captains kid. How old is he?"

     I smiled, "He's almost a one-year-old. And yes, he's also the Blue Captains kid."

     He chuckled, "Well, that just gives him one more reason to come after us, but it also gives us another reason to fight him. I'm sure everyone on this ship will defend Casper with their life."

     "Thank you."

     "It's nothing. I would happily fight for this cute little guy. So, I'm guessing Blaze is going to be like the kids new dad, right?"

     Blaze shuffled awkwardly next to me as I nodded. Phillip laughed, and patted Blaze on the shoulder. He growled in return.

     I giggled, and asked, "Do you know where Alex is?"

     He nodded, "Alex should be with Olivia in the kitchen."

     I nodded, and we left Phillip to steer the ship. Blaze walked next to me with our hands intertwined.
