The Violet Rose

Chapter 1-Diary Entry 1

     Dear Diary,

     Hi! My name's Violet. I'm 22 years old, and I live on Peaonia Island. I own a small flower shop, and I live in the room above my shop. I absolutely love flowers. In fact, I wear a flower crown all the time. It's not too pretty because Peaonia only has black, and white, flowers.

     The island isn't very big, but it's not small either. I grew up on this island, so I know my way around. I should also mention that my island isn't controlled by the Blue, or Red Captain. My favorite place on the island is on top of Grem Hill. It's my favorite spot because it has the most flowers. It's the most calming place on the Island. From the top of Grem Hill, you can see the village, and the docs. When I go to Grem Hill, I always return to my flower shop with a bunch of flowers.

     My flower shop isn't very big, but it's cozy. I get a bunch of my flowers from Grem Hill, but I also grow my own flowers. Of course, they're all black, and white, but I managed to get a few grey flowers. My shop doesn't get a whole lot of business, so sometimes it's hard to afford food, but I survive with some help.

     I get help from a few different people. One of  these people is Flynn. He's like a father figure to me. He's the one who gave me this diary to write in. Whenever I don't have enough money for food, he's there to help feed me. He makes sure I eat, have a roof over my head, have a place to rest, and just be able to survive. He's the closest thing I have to a father on the island, since I haven't seen my parents for years. Flynn owns one of the best restaurants on the island, so it's not hard for him to pay for my food. I'm extremely grateful for everything he's done for me.

     Another person that helps me out is Chester. He's one of my closest friends. He comes into my shop sometimes to talk, but whenever he comes in, he always buys some flowers. I think some people on the island hate him because he wears a lot of blue. I don't mind though. However, he isn't always on the island. He shows up a couple times a month, but then he sails the seas on his ship again. Sometimes he can be cold, but most of the time he's mischievous. 

     Chester isn't my only friend. Me and him are very close, but Veronica is my best friend. She doesn't really  come into my shop, but shes still my friend. Me, and Veronica, hang out in the market place a lot. She has a good taste in fashion, so when I see an outfit I like, I ask her about it. I almost always find something she thinks is bad, but when I do find something good, she buys the outfit. She looks really good in the outfits. She wears a lot of black, but it compliments her dark purple hair, and green eyes. 

     I suppose I should describe what I look like because you're a notebook, and you can't see. Well, I have long orange hair, big purple eyes, and a light skin tone. I usually wear a purple sweater, purple skirt, purple scarf, white stockings, purple shoes, and my flower crown. I wear a lot of purple. Maybe it's because my name is Violet.

     It's always been my dream to explore more of the world. I've always wanted to see more people, make more friends, and explore new places. I would have left this island already, but I have no ship, and no one will take me with them on their ship. Someday, I wish to be sitting in a field of flowers, with friends surrounding me, and a flower crown with a rainbow of flowers on my head.

     Well, I think I've talked enough for one bit. I'll write more later!
