After the ball, we all went back to our rooms. Blaze followed me into mine. I grabbed my normal clothes and went to the bathroom to change.
When I walked out of the bathroom, Blaze was laying on the bed. His red eyes stared at the ceiling.
He sighed, "What are you going to do now?"
I smiled at him, "I'm going to explore the kingdom. Aren't you coming with me?"
He turned his head towards me, "Unfortunately, I cant. I have to talk with River about this truce. We need to discuss specifics."
"I'm sorry. How long do you think it'll take?"
"Maybe an hour and a half. I'll see you when you get back. Be careful out there."
"I will. I'll see you later. I love you."
"I love you too."
Then, I walked out the door. I walked through the castle, and tried to find the exit. The halls were long, and full of color. Occasionally, a guard or maid would pass by me in the halls.
Eventually, I found the exit. I walked through the castle gate, and into the town. The buildings were made of stone and wood. Many had small flower beds just below three windows. The flowers on this island were pink and white.
Right outside the castle, was the town center. A tall fountain was in the center. It was surrounded by shops of all kind. The shops didn't specify between red or blue. They had both colors, and many more. It reminded me of Paeonia.
I wandered around, and looked at the shops. I didn't bring any money, so I couldn't buy anything. But it was still nice to see what they have.
After the shops, there was a bunch of homes. Children ran around, and played with each other. Some children almost ran into me, but they dodged at the last second. A few mothers were sitting outside and watching their kids.
A small boy ran into my legs, and fell down. I bent down and offered him my hand.
I asked him, "Are you okay?"
A mother ran over to him, and the boy accepted my hand. I helped him up, and his mother inspected him.
She sighed, "You've got to be more careful! Make sure to watch where you're going!"
Then, she turned to me, "I'm so sorry for my son."
I smiled at her, "It's alright as long as he's okay."
"You're really kind. He's perfectly fine."
"Thank you."
Her mood seemed to lighten, "Do you have children of your own?"
"Not yet, but I do have a lover."
"I see. Children can be a handful, but they're very rewarding. You're a very beautiful woman, and young woman. If you have children, they will be beautiful. Would you want to have children with your lover?
My face heated up slightly, "Maybe someday. I don't think I'm ready for children yet, but I love kids. I'm not sure if he would want kids."
"Does he dislike children?"
"I'm not sure. I think he struggled with having a lover for a bit. I'm his first lover. I don't think he'll know how to handle children."
She gave me a gentle smile, "I'm sure it'll be alright. He can support the family if he has good work. Does he work?"
I nodded, "Yeah. I guess you could call it work. My lover is the Red Captain."
She gasped, "The Red Captain? You managed to get the Red Captain to fall for you? How?"
"I'm not sure. I was traveling with him for a bit, and we fell in love. He's been an amazing lover."
"I'm surprised. From stories, he seems so cold. Does he ever scare you?"
"Not really. He's never mean or aggressive toward me."
"That's amazing! So, the Red Captain may have future children. Your children will truly be amazing."
"Thank you."
The boy tugged in her sleeve, and she looked down at him. He gave a sheepish look, and she nodded.
She looked back at me, "We should really be going. It's been a nice chat."
"Yeah. It's been fun."
Then, she walked towards a house with her son. I continued walking through the kingdom.
Past the houses was the docks. The giant red ship was next to one of the docks. Other ships were getting closer, or leaving the island. A bunch of crates were on the docks. People were moving the crates off the ship.
I walked along the docks, and stared at the ocean. The sun was starting to set in the sky, and created a shimmering effect on the water. The waves crashed against each other and helped create a cool breeze.
I stayed there for a while, just watching the sunset reflect off the ocean. At one point, I sat down and took off my shoes. I let the cold water push against my feet. The people that were moving crates have left now. I was alone on the docks. The sun starting to disappear, and I started to put my shoes on. I should be getting back to the castle.
As I finished putting on my shoes, I stood up. A hand covered my mouth from behind, and a arm wrapped around me so I couldn't move my arms. I let out a muffled squeak, and started to squirm.
Whoever it was, it was definitely not Blaze. This person was more hostile, and their hands were a different size.
The person spoke, "It's good to see you again. I missed you, Violet. Don't panic. I just want to continue where we left off."
It sounded like a mans voice, but it was very familiar. I can't think of who it is. My minds in a panic.
The person started to drag me backwards. We ended up behind a building. He kept his hold on my arms, but turned me around. I gasped.
He looked different, but his ice blue eyes carried the same intent. I desperately wanted to get away.
First Mate stood in front me. He moved his arm, and grabbed my wrists with one hand. His other hand stayed over my mouth.
He chuckled, "You look better than before. I told you I'd help you, and I will."
His hand moved off my wrists, and grabbed the bottom of my shirt. I tried to push him off me, but he was too strong.
He pushed me to the ground, and got on top of me. I squirmed, and tried to get away. His hand moved away from my mouth, and I screamed.
His hand smacked my cheek. I yelped, and tried to scream for help. One of his hands grabbed my wrists, and held them above my head.
Then, he kissed me to stop my screaming, and started to pull my shirt up. Tears pricked at my eyes, and my vision began to blur from them.
He's actually going to do it, and I can't do anything to stop him.
