Chapter 38- Drunk Adventures

     I woke up to the sound of Blaze talking to someone. They weren't in the room, but they were in the hallway.

     Blaze spoke, "Anyway, I don't mind the outfit much, but please don't do that again."

     Octavia's voice responded, "Alright. By the way, what's next for you and her? Where are you going next?"

     Blaze was quiet for a minute before responding, "It's about time I took over another island. The last island I visited, I never took control. Instead, I took Violet. Now her island is destroyed. It would be great if I got a new island to control."

     Octavia sighed, "It's a shame that her island was destroyed. She's such a sweet girl. You're lucky to have her."

     "I know I am. However, the Blue Captain also wants her. He's known her longer than I have. He even had the audacity to kidnap her off one of my islands."

     "So, you saved her from him?"

     "Of course. After I saved her, I told her how I feel, and found out that she feels the same. Everything was fine until she wanted to go back to her island. When we got there, we discovered that the Blue Captain destroyed everything, and nearly killed her father figure. Although, while we were there, he passed away. It was hard on her."

     "I see. So, the Blue Captain did all that for her?"

     "Yes. He wants her. The fight between us has another factor now. It's a fight over her. Luckily, she chose me. If he ever takes her from me, and if he hurts her, I'll kill him."

     "I suppose you get that from your grandma. Anyway, I'm curious. Why is Jewel on your ship? I mean, I'm glad you two are together, but weren't you annoyed by her."

     "Yeah. She still annoys me. However, I need a medic on my ship, and she just happens to be a medic. I invited her on the ship, because Violet got hurt."

     "She got hurt? Didn't you say if he hurt her then you would kill him? If it wasn't the Blue Captain, then who hurt her?"

     "It was my First Mate. He assaulted her. That wasn't the only time he stepped out of line. I was going to kill him, but she convinced me otherwise."

     "She's a good person. Maybe you two are connected in more ways than you think."

     "What do you mean?"

    "It's nothing. Just my wandering thoughts. Anyway, you two should be going soon."

     "Yeah. It was nice seeing you and Dad again."

     "You know you're welcome at any time."

     The conversation ended there, and I heard one set of footsteps walk away. The other set of footsteps were walking towards me.

     A strong arm gently shook me, and a smooth voice spoke, "Violet. It's time to get up. We need to leave."

     I groaned, and slowly opened my eyes. He smiled at me, and I smiled back. I got up, and we went downstairs. Jewel was saying goodbye to their parents. Blaze brought me close to the door, and turned toward his parents.

     He waved, and said, "We'll be leaving now. It was nice to see both of you."

     I nodded, and said, "It was really nice to meet both of you! You two seem like amazing parents."

     Octavia squealed, and hugged me. She almost squeezed me to death, but she let go before she killed me. Then, Zander walked over, and gave me a gentle hug. He let go after a second.
