First Mate was done with me a few minutes ago. I'm still behind the building. All I'm doing is laying on the ground, and crying. Tears were streaming down the side of my face as I stared up at the night sky.
He didn't leave. He's laying on the ground a few feet away. I think he fell asleep.
My mind was blank. I almost can't think. What was I supposed to do? What did I do to deserve this? Why do people do this kind of thing to other people?
What do I do now? Everything hurts. He hit me many times while he did it. I couldn't stop any of it. I wasn't strong enough.
What happens now? Blaze! He might be able to help me, or at least take some of the pain away.
I slowly tried to stand. My legs were shaking as I tried to collect all my clothes. I slipped my clothes on, and slowly started to walk towards the castle.
Tears continued to fall from my face as I walked. Almost no one was on the streets now. Shops were closed, and the lights of most buildings were turned off.
It was hard to stand, and even harder to walk. I almost collapsed a couple times.
In the distance, I think I can see Blaze. I'm not completely sure. It's mostly a blur of red, but it's quickly coming toward me.
When the blur was standing in front of me, I could clearly see those red eyes I loved. One of my hands reached out to him, and I stopped walking. It hurt too much.
He ran toward me, and hugged me. My tears fell on his jacket. I slowly reached my arms up, and hugged him back. I clung to him like I've never had a hug before.
When he pulled away, he placed both his hands on either side of my face. He studied me, and glared at the marks on my face.
He growled, "Violet, what happened? Your face and the rest of your body is covered by bruises, red marks, and cuts. Who did this?"
I chocked on a sob, "He...he did this."
"Who was it? What did they do?"
I couldn't speak. I could only sob as he stared at me.
Blaze hugged me again, and I fully let everything out. I let every tear fall. I've never cried this much in my entire life.
We sat there for about half an hour before most of my tears were gone. I was still crying a bit, but I could probably speak. Some of my strength returned, but not a lot.
I slowly told him, "He...he r-raped me."
He pulled away from our hug, and stared at me with wide eyes. Then, his eyes narrowed into a intense glare.
He spoke in a low tone, "Who?"
"It was F-First mate."
His fists clenched, "That bastard! I should've killed him a long time ago!"
He started to storm off in the direction I came from with his right hand resting on the handle of his sword.
I stumbled after him, "Blaze. D-Don't kill him! No one deserves death!"
He turned his head toward me, "How can you say he doesn't deserve to die after what he did to you? I'll be doing him a favor by killing him! He deserves worse than death!"
Then, he ran off in the direction I came from. I quickly stumbled after him.
Even though what he did was extremely wrong, He doesn't deserve to die. No one deserves that. All life deserves a chance. Everyone deserves life, no matter what they do!
If he kills First Mate, it might effect the treaty he just made with the kingdom. River would be upset if he killed one of her people right after they made the truce.
I need to stop Blaze.
