Guys, 492 reads?! I never thought I would ever see the day this happened! Thank you soooo much and I hope you enjoy this one!

The room was still, for a moment, as Gustus drank from the silver cup. Clarke's heart was hammering in her chest while her cup was held a few inches from her lips, but made no indication of her nervousness in a room divided between Grounders and Sky People; only by large oak table. She wouldn't let Lexa see her as weak.

"Love is weakness."

Lexa's words echoed throughout Clarke's head. She thought back to how the flames had leapt up and engulfed Finn's wrapped body and remembered how the tears in her eyes had given away everything to those around her. She'd even seen Bellamy look across at her sadly and nodded as if to reassure her. Was she really that transparent?

Suddenly Gustus choked and fell against the table, his face contorted in pain. Gasps sounded around the room and the Grounders drew their weapons. Clarke nearly cried out in disbelief but kept her mouth shut as she watched Lexa's face morph from a calm exterior to murderous shock. Sky People and Grounders alike kicked over their chairs and spread themselves out as each side waited for the other to retaliate.
Gustus convulsed again, his face white as he stumbled against the wall behind him and slid down; his hacking cough echoing throughout the cavern. Clarke watched as Lexa grabbed hold of his arm to steady him before being helped by two Grounder guards.

"Poison!" someone yelled amidst the chaos and various Grounders backed away as Lexa swept past them.

Bellamy felt his body bristle with electricity, the adrenaline pumping in his veins; senses hyper-aware of the commotion around him as his eyes darted from Grounder to Grounder. His mind went into overdrive, wondering at who would have wanted the alliance to fail and threw a fearful glance at Gustus, who lay choking on his own oxygen. Everything was erupting around him and no one knew what to do.

Could they somehow fight their way out?

No, Bellamy concluded until his breathing stopped as his eyes fell on Clarke who still had the shining silver cup hovering in her hand. The pieces in his brain finally clicked together and he launched himself in front of Kane and knocked the cup out of Clarke's hands. She glanced at him surprised but then turned to watch in horror as Lexa yelled at the Grounder guards.

Clarke watched the cup of clear moonshine clatter onto the cold, stone floor and felt the hopes of a successful alliance go with it. She could feel Bellamy's presence next her which calmed her nerves to some extent but now it was confusion that consumed her.

How could someone do this? Just when they were so close to ending the bloodshed between their people. Clarke felt sick at the thought that Finn's sacrifice suddenly had the potential to mean nothing.

Ridged with remorse, Clarke clenched her fists and turned to Lexa, whose back was turned as she inspected Gustus, who lay sprawled between the two guards.

Bellamy's eyes narrowed as he and Clarke saw Indra murderously draw her sword.

"It was the Sky People!" she yelled at the top of her voice, which caused a chain reaction as Grounders drew their weapons around her and pointed their blades at the Sky People opposite; who stood, hands raised but angry.

Suddenly, the large, oak table was thrust aside by one of Lexa's guards to make way for whatever was to come next and several Grounders rushed forwards at the same time as Clarke, but was stopped by Bellamy blocking her path with his body; the tip of Indra's blade hovering close to his chest.

Bellamy sensed Clarke's move before she made it and instinctively jumped in front of her to blocked her from going further, preventing any cheap shots the raging Grounders around them, or Indra, might pull. She was too important for this to be the way her life ended and now he was about as far from trusting the Grounders as Clarke was from not being as stubborn.
