First chapters might be a little boring. But give me a chance until we reach the good shit 😂
"You gotta be kidding me." Jimin said, still not believing what his friend was telling him.
"I'm sorry. I told you many times that I wanted to move out with my girlfriend." Hoseok sighed.
"I didn't expect it to be right now. We share the expenses, what am I going to do now?"
"Come on, I won't leave you alone in this. We're going to find a good place for you to live in. I won't move out until I'm sure that you have a good place."
Jimin sighed and told Hoseok that he had a lot of homework to do, so he had to leave. Hoseok understood and he left to arrive on time to work. Jimin arrived home -since he didn't work- he went straight to his bed and opened his laptop. Hours passed and he didn't realize he had done nothing because he was so worried about moving out.
Jimin and Hoseok were friends since they were little, and when they started college they decided to live together to lessen expenses. They'd been living together for three years now, and Jimin didn't like the idea of living with someone else since he was so shy and he had trouble making friends.
But Hoseok was so excited about moving out with his girlfriend that Jimin had to accept his fate and started searching for places to live, he even talked with some of his classmates to check if someone needed a roommate, but because of the time of the year, everyone already had one. He searched online, he called the numbers on advertisements, but he didn't get any answers.
Hoseok did the same, being as unlucky as him. They searched for two weeks without any result and Jimin's mood got better because maybe he didn't have to move out. Hoseok, on the other hand, was feeling desperate, he didn't want to get rid of Jimin, but he was craving to live with his girlfriend. Every day he felt unlucky, but everything changed when he gave his last shot to the last person he thought would need a roommate.
Jimin woke up on Friday morning because of the screams coming from Hoseok's room. Jimin ran to his room, which didn't take long since their apartment was ridiculously small. He found Hoseok smiling from ear to ear and screaming... from happiness.
"What is wrong with you?" Jimin asked with a hand on his fast beating heart.
"I did it! I told you I would and I fucking did it!" Jimin's heart shrank at that statement.
"What did you do?" his voice came out as a whisper.
"I got you a roommate, and not any roommate. He's my friend, Yoonie, he's the one who graduated college last year, since he's older than me, and he went to the same high sc..."
"If he's already graduated why would he need a roommate?" Jimin interrupted without hearing the last part.
"I don't know, but I contacted him yesterday and today he told me that his roommate left him a month ago, he wasn't precisely looking for one but he told me he's glad to help my friend and you can live with him." Hoseok was talking at full speed, completely excited. "And that's not the best part, he lives one block away from college, you can even go walking. Besides he's the cleanest person and he's not noisy at all, you'll love him."
Those were nice news, but Jimin didn't feel too confident about it. And the way Hoseok started packing his luggage that very same day, hurt Jimin a little but he decided to do the same.
On Sunday, their apartment was already empty, just a few boxes at sight that two men lifted to get them in the moving truck. Packing their stuff didn't take long, they didn't have many belongings since their small apartment wouldn't allow it. The two of them were right in front of the door, but none of them dared to move.
"I was so excited that I didn't feel melancholic until now."
"I was feeling melancholic the whole time." Jimin admitted.
"I'm sorry, I didn't realize you could be feeling awkward about this."
"It's ok, it's already done. You finally could get rid of me." Jimin laughed and Hoseok did the same.
"Finally!" he lied while laughing, but it slowly faded away. "You know, I don't want to sound cheesy and shit... but I'm gonna miss you."
"Oh, cut it! We see each other every day."
"I was trying to sound like a good friend, but fuck off. Let's get out of here." They laughed. Both of them got out of the apartment feeling sad when they turned around to see it looking exactly the way it looked three years ago, and they were so excited to live there when they arrived for the first time. They didn't even care to live like sardines and all the troubles and fights they had because of the bathroom. Everything was left as a good memory.
Jimin started his car and waved goodbye at Hoseok. Going towards his new life.
