I remember when I first noticed that you liked me back
We were sitting down in a restaurant waiting for the check
We had made love earlier that day with no strings attached
But I could tell that something had changed how you looked at me then

They were eating their breakfast, laughing at everything the other said. It was a rather cute scene to watch. Suddenly, Jimin reached for his pocket to see his phone with a new message. The frown on his face didn't go unnoticed by Yoongi.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Jimin furrowed his eyebrows and sighed. "It's my mom. She just texted me to tell me they're not staying for a week as they planned because of what happened yesterday. They're leaving right now and my dad is mad. What a surprise."

"I'm sorry for making things problematic."

"They already were. Don't apologize, I already told you I'm grateful for it. I just wish my dad was less of a..."

"Dick."

Jimin chuckled. "Yeah, that." Jimin was now playing with the pancake on his plate, no longer hungry. "I feel bad for my mom. She always tells me how much she loves me and she does everything a good mother would, but she's so afraid. I know what happened yesterday hurt her and she must be feeling anxious right now, dealing with my dad's anger."

"Your dad seems..."

"He is." Jimin laughs softly. "He's mean."

"Well, he has that in common with my dad too. They would get along well or just murder each other."

"Just like us." Jimin smiled. There was something different in the environment between the two. Both of them felt free now.

"I don't wanna kill you anymore." Yoongi smiled and encouraged himself to speak more. "I know you told me you already forgave me and I know you don't hate me, but could it be possible, you know, that you felt something more?"

Now Jimin looked amused. "Something like what?"

"I don't know." Yoongi looked down and scratched the back of his right ear, something he did when he was nervous or shy. "Like... Jimin, you know."

Jimin just laughed, making his eyes disappear. "What, Yoongi. Tell me."

Still not making eye contact, Yoongi cleared his throat. "Could it be possible that you love me?" he asked in a soft voice, feeling insecure for the first time.

Jimin looked at the man in front of him, with that big, grey hoodie he looked so young and careless, just like the Yoongi Jimin fell in love with. But now it was even better. Yoongi seemed to be interested in him this time, and Jimin had to choose to be brave and try to give a chance to Yoongi.

"I still do." Jimin admitted, not missing how Yoongi's eyes finally met his with a glint. "I never stopped loving you." Jimin shrugged as if this wasn't a huge confession. But his heart was beating so fast, Jimin felt Yoongi might hear it pounding.

With a slightly blushed face and a gummy smile, Yoongi nodded. "I-I'm actually happy to know that." Yoongi tried to keep his cool, but failed miserably. "God, I'm so happy." He snorted.

"Yeah..." Jimin finally took a bite of his pancakes again, suddenly feeling hungry even though there were butterflies in his tummy. "Me too."

They kept talking of a little bit of everything until they ended up remembering the good old days. Well, for Jimin, not so good.
