1. So Much For Love

Lia's POV-

"Cordelia! You're going to be late!" I was accepted into the University of Florida and USC but the only reason I'm even going to UF is because they offered me a better scholarship..

Ever since Theo left last summer, that was the last time he spoke to me.

So much for love right?

I texted and called multiple times.. I eventually got tired of it. He knew I was calling. He had to have known. He always posts on his social media especially snapchat. Partying it up with females. I was extremely broken hearted. He would answer his family and his friends here but not me.

He came to town for Christmas time but I was up with my grandparents. What hurt? He didn't even tell me he was coming. He didn't bother to tell me when he spent all summer here. I mean I was in Paris with my family, but still.

I begged the Archibald's to not tell Theo that I'm going to Florida. I don't want him to know. I don't want to see him. I figured that I won't even see him anyways. It's a big campus.

My baby sister, Madilyn, is 8 months old. She is the absolute cutest and most down to earth little girl. I'm going to miss her the most.

Jake left for Ole Miss last week to get in early. I miss my brother so much. I knew this day would come and I thought I was prepared for it but I wasn't. I don't think anyone ever is.

All my favorite people have left me and the only people I have left, I'm leaving. What you may have missed, is my dad and Beth's wedding. It wasn't anything major. We all just went down to the courthouse. It was still cute, intimate, and very special.

We met up with the Archibald's at the airport. They wanted to help send me off. They hugged me first and Alice cried. "My last baby is leaving." That made my heart sad.

I hugged Beth and thanked her for everything. I kissed Madi goodbye and hugged my dad. We both cried. A lot. I pulled back and wiped my face. "I love you. Behave. Call a lot. Be careful. Stay aware. I know you're gonna do big things babe."

"Fuck!" A girl was having trouble loading her bags on the little cart thing. "Hey need some help?" She smiled. "Please. Thank you so much."

I helped her real quick. "I'm Gabby by the way." She introduced herself. "What's your last name?" "Duran?"

"Do you go to UF?" If she says yes... "I do! I'm an incoming freshman.." She said as she raised an eyebrow at me. "You're my roommate! I'm Cordelia. Please call me Lia." She was quick to hug me. "Life works in mysterious ways my friend." She said and I laughed.

We hailed a taxi and talked the entire time. She seems nice, I mean she's so funny and outgoing. We've already established that we've got each others backs no matter what.
