-Next Saturday-
We're at the football game right now. Just watching Theo on the sidelines broke my heart. Yesterday he snapped at me after his therapy session.. He's frustrated I understand.. so I decided to give him space.
"Did I miss anything?" Zach from Beta came and sat next to me. "No it just started."
"Theo's taking it pretty hard.." He said and I sighed. "He's pushing me away.." He looked at me. "Are you serious?" I nodded.
"I'll talk to him."
"No.. I'll give him space." He shook his head. "The last thing he wants is to be alone. That will only make his depression worse." He said and I sighed. "Hey don't worry.. how's he doing in therapy."
"His upper body is doing great. His lower body is just being stubborn." He sighed. "All of us Beta boys appreciate you accompanying him to every session. We want to take over, we can each take him one day." I smiled.
"Thank you, but I wanna do this with him.. if he allows me. But definitely if one day I can't go, I'll let you guys know." He smiled. "I know you guys have history and I don't know where you guys stand, but you're an amazing girl Lia. He really loves you. I'm rooting for you two." I smiled.
"Thanks Zach."
Britt, Bri, Steph, Gab, Cierra and I came to a diner after the game. The boys didn't win... I honestly think its because they depended on Theo so much that it was tough without him.
"How's Theo doing?" Asked Britt and I sighed. "Not good?" She asked and I shook my head no. "He had an outburst yesterday after therapy. He's depressed. I'm sure after tonight he's probably even more. But I understand... he's pushing me away.. And that will only make him worse. I want to give him space but how much is the question."
"I'm sure he'll come to his senses and contact you or something." Cierra is a witch. As soon as she said that my phone rang. Theo.
"Hello?"
"Hey can you come over?"
"Yeah, is everything okay?"
"With me? Kind of. With us, no. I just need you right now please."
"Of course, I'll be over in a few."
I looked up at the girls. "Go. Tell him we said hi. Oh guys don't forget tomorrow Beta is having a barbecue." Said Brianna. Ah yes, they told us to go if we didn't have anything planned.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow." They smiled and waved.
As I drove in, Zach was walking to his car. "I talked to him.. I think I made him come to his senses.. he's waiting for you in his room."
"Thanks Zach." He nodded as he got in his car. I walked in and closed the door. I took a deep breath as I reached his room. I knocked and opened it when he said to come in. He was sitting up on his bed.
He patted the side and I went and sat down next to him.
"I'm sorry about yesterday." He broke down. "No don't cry." I hugged him. "I really need you Lia. I'm pushing everyone away and I hate it. I'm just not okay right now. I can't fend for myself. Everyone's treating me different. I can't do what I love. I just.. I don't know what to do." That broke my heart. Now we're both crying.
"Hey its okay. There's more to life than football. Everyone just wants to help you so you can recover faster. I totally understand yesterday's situation. You just have to continue therapy to try and regain your leg strength. Our goal is to get you to walk. And if you can't, that is okay too. I won't ever leave you alone. If you're feeling depressed, we can go to therapy for that too. I know a great psychologist I can give her a call."
I wiped his face and he looked at me. "It doesn't mean anything is wrong with you babe. I had a session with her after that incident at the bar with Brandon.. It felt so good to just talk to someone without being judged. She's an Alpha alumni." He sighed. "Okay."
"I'll give her a call right now."
I walked over to the hall. I searched Stacie Keller and hit dial.
"Hello?"
"Hey Stacie. It's Cordelia Laughlin, alpha sister.. sorry to call right now." I told her what had happened. "Of course darling. I can fit him in on Tuesday. Say 12:30?"
"Great! Thank you so much Mrs.Keller I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart."
"No problem darling. See you guys Tuesday." I walked back and sat down next to him. "Tuesday at 12:30." He gave me a weak smile. I helped him re-adjust so he was laying down. "Can you sleep over tonight? Please." I nodded. I texted Gabby to let her know and then laid down with
