My parents left Sunday morning. Alice and Josiah are staying a week longer to help Theo adjust to life in a wheelchair. He was discharged today and well I had class.
I stopped to buy balloons.. a lot of them.. and a small cake. I drove over to the Beta house. "Hey Lia. Theo's in the living room." "Thanks Diego!"
"Theodore James- oh I'm sorry." Savannah was sitting down next to Theo's wheelchair. Awkkwardd.
"Hey Lia."
"Hi.. hey Savannah.. I got you cake and balloons.. sorry to interrupt. I'll leave the cake in the kitchen, then put the balloons in your room then I'll head out. Text me if you need anything."
"Thanks Li." I gave him those awkward smiles you give to strangers when you make eye contact.
My phone rang. Theo. "Hey is everything okay?"
"Yeah I just need a huge favor."
"What's up?"
"I really need a home cooked meal, but I don't want to bother my mom." I smiled. "What do you want, I'll stop by the store right now."

We sat having dinner together. "Lia." "Yeah?"
"I need a huge favor. Bigger than this one." "What's up? Anything."
He looked around. "Everyone's been treating me completely different.. Its irking me. I just wanna know that around you, you'll treat me like any regular day."
"I'll always worry about you, but of course. You're still Theo." He smiled. "Thank you so much. For everything. I appreciate it... Savannah told me something.." I raised an eyebrow.
"She doesn't want me to be around you or talk to you." I sighed. "So I told her if she has a problem with you, she can walk away..."
"Theo-"
"Wait.. she got mad and said some hurtful things."
"Like?" He sighed. "She said she would've ended up leaving me because she didn't want to struggle with a cripple-"
"I swear to God if I see her I will beat her ass Theodore." He chuckled. "She's not worth it." I'm still pissed.
"Hey guys! Oh that smells good!" I laughed at Diego. "Hey dude. There's more on the stove if you'd like." He smiled. "Thank you Lia! You're the best. Honestly whoever you end up marrying will be a lucky man."
"Yeah he will.." Muttered Theo. We finished up eating and I washed the dishes. "I have a headache."
"Doctor said you would. You should go sleep it off."
"Only if you join me." He smirked. "You're never gonna change." I laughed. "I'd love to but I have to start studying for finals." He frowned. "Alrighty then."
"Hey guys!" Alice and Josiah walked in. "Hey! I was just leaving. If you guys need anything let me know." I hugged them. "Bye Theo." I bent over to hug him.
