13. I Need You

-November-

The semester is going by pretty fast. We have thanksgiving break next week and I plan on going home tomorrow. I would've left today since I didn't have classes, but Isaiah asked me to accompany him to the meet today. There's a few races today.

Yesterday.. I got in a fight with Theo. He just won't leave me alone. I told him I never wanted to see him again. That I hate him. That I want him to leave me alone. I cried. For the first time in two months, I cried over him.

When we got to the meet, I immediately noticed that Theo had brought Savannah. "Alright y'all know the rules. If anything happens, we were never here!" The dude yelled. Isaiah was first against some dude. I looked around and none of the guys from Beta were here, just Theo. So I stood by myself. Isaiah beat the guy by like two minutes.

A few more races went on then Theo was called over.

Theo's POV-
I could see the finish line. Dude's on my ass but I'll have him beat. I glanced at the crowd and Lia was kissing Isaiah.. that distracted me..

Lia's POV-
I heard a loud bang followed by glass. I turned over and my heart sank. Everyone made a run for it.

"CALL FOR HELP!" I cried. "Lia lets go." Isaiah called out. "I'm not gonna leave him there!" Tears were already rolling down my face. I ran over to the car.. what's left of it.. "Theo!!" No response. I called 911. I looked around as I yelled for help. Everyone had vanished but one girl. She came over to me.

"C'mon lets move. It could explode." "I'm not leaving him in there!" I couldn't even see from the tears. "Theo please!!"

I could hear the sirens but I still tried to pry open the door.

"What happened here?" The girl and I are being interviewed by a cop. I couldn't even think straight. My mind was on Theo. Who they were trying to take out of the car. "My friend and I were on our way to the movies. I think he might have lost control of the car." She spoke for us. I wanted to tell the truth but nothing would come out so I just nodded.

"He's losing blood fast!" I heard. They were rolling him to the ambulance. I'm still a mess. They tried to refrain me from going but the paramedic just knew my pain.. he let me in.

He's covered in blood.. his face is so bad. I can't tell what's wrong with him.

I cried. I didn't even know I had that much water inside of me. I called Alice still hysterically crying and she began to sob. She yelled at Josiah and reassured me they would be here tomorrow.. that was painful for me. I called my dad next and he said the same thing. They'll be here tomorrow. Jake said he would drive out right then and there.

I don't know how much time passed.. But it seemed like hours.. "Are you family?" Asked the doctor and I just nodded. "He's in critical condition.. he's suffered a traumatic head injury.. miss I'm sorry.. he's in a coma.. we don't know if he'll survive.." I fell to my knees.

Two nurses came to my aid. "We're doing the best we can.. but he's lost too much blood.."

"Get him transfusions then! What are you waiting for?!" He sighed. "We have.. We don't have enough." For some reason, a fact came to mind. "We're the same blood type. Take mine. Please. I'll do anything." I cried even more.

Two pints of blood is how much they took from me. I called Alice to let her know and she just freaked out even more. I was seated until I felt better then I was guided to his room. I pulled the chair closer to his bed. His face is scratched..

I grabbed his right hand. "I'm so sorry Theo. I didn't mean anything I said yesterday. I love you Theodore James. I love you so much. Please Theo fight. Your family needs you. I need you. Please." I choked on my tears as I started to hyperventilate.

I brought my head up. I had fallen asleep with my head on the bed, still holding his hand. I yawned as I looked at the time. 4AM. I am not leaving. I had several missed calls from Gabby and one missed call from Isaiah. Just the name pissed me off. I texted Gabby and she responded right away.

Gabby-
Are u serious?!! Do u need anything, I'll bring u anything

Lia-
No thank u tho. I'm staying, u have fun tell your mom I said hi.

I crawled into the bed with him, since we both fit. I kissed his cheek and just looked at him. My heart shattered. I cried myself to sleep as I held his hand.
