Gabs and I had lunch together and walked around. It's rush week. We passed by one sorority and I recognized Cierra, from one of my classes.
"Hey Lia! Girls this is Lia. She's pretty great. Girl you should try and join our sorority!" I've never really thought about joining a sorority.. She handed me a pamphlet. "You can read through this then let us know!" "Thanks!"
Gabby and I looked at each other. "I say we apply. Just for fun its not like we're even gonna get in. Get the full college experience" She said. "You're right. Fuck it." We walked back and Cierra grew excited.
-Week Later-
I've been receiving texts from Theodore, but I just erase them without reading them. I've been trying to lay low but we've had trials for the sorority.. Shockingly, Gabby and I have not been dropped.. yet.
Right now a few girls and I, along with Gabs, are at the local cemetery. In front of us, stood the heads of Alpha Delta Pi. Yesterday we had orientation to learn more about the sorority and how waters flow.
"Congratulations pledges. You 12 have been deemed fit as Alpha Delta Pi sisters. You will move in, the start of next semester." Said Tiffany, the president of Alpha Delta Pi.
"You're now Alpha's. Form a circle please." The pledges formed a circle and held hands as Tiffany wished.
"Look around. Where are we?" She asked. "A cemetery." answered Gabs. "What brings one to a cemetery?"
"Death." I answered. "Loved ones?" Asked one of the pledges. "Cordelia is right. Death. You may not have been born wanting to be in Alpha Delta Pi, but you will die an Alpha sister. Look around ladies. These are the women, along with the others in the house, who will be in your life until death. These are your sisters. Through ups and downs, you have each other no matter what. Our motto at the Alpha Delta Pi house is, we live for each other."
"Our values are sisterhood, self, scholarship, service. We dedicate many hours into charity. Into each other. Into our academics. But importantly, into ourselves. Our mascot is a lion. Channel your inner lioness at all times. Classy not trashy ladies."
"So with that being said, tonight we will be throwing you guys a party. Yes, you 12. Welcoming in our new baby sisters." She waved and we all turned over. 12 girls were coming in.
"You each have been assigned with a big sister, they will be your mentors till you guys are assigned big sisters in the future." My big sister is Cierra.
We did a little chant. "Okay ladies, the Beta Theta Pi boys are helping set up the party, all 12 of you will be going and getting your nails done together along with a getting your hair and makeup did. Make sure you wear something hot tonight. See you ladies there."
"Bitch what the fuck we actually made it?" Freaked Gabby. "And to think we only did it to fuck around." I laughed. We bonded with the new sisters as we got our nails, hair and makeup done.
I changed into a short mint green with a weird shaped v in the front chest area. I slipped on my heels then added a watch to my right arm and a bracelet to my left.

Gaby and I decided to uber it to the house since we both want to drink. We had to be there early and stay upstairs in the lounge so they could introduce us.
We all walked together down to the party and everyone cheered. This is awkward for me. "Please help us welcome our new sisters." Said Tiffany.
"When she calls your name go up and receive the necklace." Said Cierra. "Our first sister was chosen for her outstanding academics, a great personality, and dedication to help others. Miss Cordelia Laughlin!" I walked up to the built in stage and smiled as she placed the necklace with the Alpha Delta Pi symbols on me. I looked out and who did I see? Theodore.
After she named every girl, she said "now lets party!" I noticed Theo making his way over so I got lost in the sea of people.
"Hey congrats!" Said a guy. "Thanks!"
"I'm from Beta Theta Pi. If you ever need anything don't hesitate to hit us up." I smiled. "Thanks! You too!" "Lia!" Shit.
I wiggled my way through then ran inside the house. Safe to say I got lost inside the house. I found myself in the lounge. I leaned over the counter and sighed. "Lia." Fuck.
"I don't want to talk to you." "Lia."
"This is my night. Don't ruin it." I walked right past him. "Cordelia!"
"Why do you want to talk to me Theodore? Why? You've had an entire fucking year to reply to my texts or calls but you didn't. Why now?" My voice cracked. Before I could get emotional, I walked away. I don't want to hear it. I don't want to hear him. I don't want to see him.
I grabbed Gabs and we played doubles in beer pong with two guys from Beta Theta Pi. I have tried to master beer pong and although I'm not too bad at it, my aiming could use some practice.
We each have one cup left. Gabby threw the first ball and missed it by a centimeter. Now the pressure is on me. Gabby quieted them down.
I threw it and cheers erupted. "AHH!" I made it in! Gabs and I hugged each other. "Fuck it!!" I still grabbed the cup and drank it after they missed their redemption shot, causing more cheering.
Each cup had a shot so I decided to slow it down. I grabbed a water bottle instead. "Good choice." Laughed Tiffany as she saw me take a sip. "I'm not trying to get too fucked up tonight." I laughed.
