Harry looked up startled from his memory at Ron's question.
"What?" He asked, leaning against the hall wall and watching Draco Malfoy and his band of goons walk off.
"Harry what did he mean remember the deal?" Ron asked again, concern coating his voice.
"Oh it doesn't matter," Harry said with a shrug and turned to walk with his friend towards the library.
"So hows Hermione?" Harry asked.
"Bloody annoying," Ron said with a shake of his head "she keeps me up all night forcing me to study with her,"
"She just wants a friend, Ron," Harry said softly
"I know!" Ron exclaimed before lowering his voice "I know, its just..."
"Homework sucks" Harry said with a smile.
"Totally," Ron agreed softly.
"But you have to look at it from her point of view," Harry said pointedly, stopping in front of the library door and peering in to see Hermione and Neville sitting at a table surrounded by open books "after all she went from learning math and science to all this,"
Ron leaned over to look at Hermione, a small smile on the corner of his mouth.
"Yeah it is a lot huh?" He agreed softly.
"Completely different worlds," Harry added, "muggle homework is so boring. Homework here is fun for us muggles. Its like a fairy tale with every assignment. Besides,"
Ron looked at Harry expectingly.
"I think she is just afraid," Harry finished softly.
"Of what?" Ron asked, looking at Harry with confusion "Failing a class?"
Harry turned to look up in Rons blue eyes.
"Something like that," Harry said "Maybe its more than just simply failing a class,"
Ron turned to look at Hermione who was waving at them excitedly and frowned softly.
"Maybe," he whispered.
