When Harry finally made it to the great Hall for the last feast of the year he was glad to be leaving. He slammed harshly into his seat next to Cedric Diggory and groaned lightly. The older boy, who had just finished his OWLs looked over at the child and smiled.
"Alright there Harry?" He asked cheerfully.
"Headache," Harry mumbled through his arms.
"Well don't worry too much," Cedric said with a smile, "we'll be going home tomorrow afternoon so there won't be homework for a while,"
Harry sat up and smiled at the older teenager.
'Home,' he thought to himself with a smile, imagining what Scamander Manor would look like, suddenly realization hit him like a ton of bricks and he sighed. He would't be going home, not yet anyway. Newt had fought Dumbledore for months but had been unable to convince the old wizard to allow Harry to return with him when summer came.
"Yes I suppose that's true," Harry said with a grimace before turning to look at his friends at the Gryffindor table.
Ron Weasley turned to Harry and gave him an angry glare. Guilt panged in Harry's stomach like an angry flame. He turned to look at Neville Longbottom and felt immediate regret that he hadn't spent as much time as he had liked with the boy. Neville was talking softly to Hermione Granger and only gave a polite smile of an acquaintance when he noticed Harry's gaze. Hermione gave him a wide smile, which he grimly returned. His eyes scanned around the room and Harry frowned as his eyes caught onto grey ones. Draco Malfoy sat watching Harry with a frown. The taller boy jerked his head towards the great hall doors and Harry nodded once back before turning to Hannah Abbott.
"I'll be right back," he told her.
Hannah smiled and turned back to her conversation with a blonde boy whose name Harry wasn't familiar with. The boy gave Harry a dirty look as he passed, but Harry ignored him. The second he reached the hallway outside the feast strong hands grabbed his arms. He looked up to see Draco dragging him towards the bathrooms in a hurry. Harry sighed and looked down, mentally preparing himself for what was about to happen.
