Four words. Four words have been echoing in my head since I got off the phone with my mom. Out of all the things in the world that I thought I would hear come out of my moms mouth, I never thought it would be those four words.

I turned off my Jeep and hopped out, walking up the pathway to James' front door, using the key I didn't give back to get in. I kicked off my shoes by the door and made my way down the hallway to the stairs. I trudged up the steps and walked to his beauty room, listening in to see if he was in there. He was finishing up his outro so I waited by the door for him to stop talking.

When everything went quiet, I opened the door and peaked in. He noticed the door open and looked up at me from his phone, his face immediately changing from happy to concerned.

"Oh my gosh, what happened?" He asked jumping up from his table and immediately engulfing me in a hug.

"It's a long story." I mumbled into his chest.

"I swear if Grayson did something stu-"

"It's not Grayson." I said. "Can we go talk?"

He nodded and we walked down the hall to his room.

"What is going on?" He asked closing the door so his team couldn't hear us talking. I took a deep breath and prepared myself to tell this story for the third time. Each time I tell it, the more real it becomes and the harder it is to tell.

"Well- it started on Christmas."

........................

"So I finally called her today. And I thought I had heard everything and we were just going to talk things through." I said, using the sleeve of my hoodie to wipe my face for the billionth time in this conversation. "But I was wrong, there was so much more to the story."

"How could there be more to tell?" He asked, rubbing my back reassuringly.

"I-" I tried to say it but my body literally stopped me from saying the words out loud. "Apparently I have a brother."

"I'm sorry-" James said sitting up and looking at me, flabbergasted. "Did you just say you have a brother?"

"Yeah. You're face is exactly what mine looked like when I found out." I said.

"How old is he?" James asked.

"Three months younger than us." I said, turning to look at him.

"So your dad-?" He asked. I nodded.

"While she was-?" He asked. I nodded again.

"Did your mom know about the other baby?"

"Yeah." I said standing up because my legs were shaking and I needed to move. "And she told my dad that if he wanted to prove to her that he was committed to her that he had to cut ties with the other woman, meaning he could never see the baby."
