"Jamais Vu" is the 6th track of BTS' 2019 album Map of the Soul: Persona and is a subunit song with Jungkook, Seokjin, and Hoseok.
The phrase jamais vu comes from the psychological phenomenon for when an individual is doing something they’re familiar with, but it seems foreign to them. This is the opposite of déjà vu. Jamais vu is most often associated with reading common words or seeing people you know and momentarily not recognizing them.
This idea of not remembering familiar things has been prevalent throughout BTS' ongoing story line, most recently progressed in their Save Me webtoon. The story follows Seokjin repeatedly reliving the same day in attempt to change the fates of his friends.
