Falling. When you fall, you expect nothing to be there to catch you. My time was up, I had no motivation. As I jumped off the building, the breeze of death blew my hair away from my face. Opening my eyes, I see another figure jumping down. They wore a ponytail, their arms stretched to catch me. That won't do anything you idiot, you will just die with me. They eventually caught me but we continued falling. -Thump-. I opened my eyes, we landed together in a pile of flowers.
------------
After your family's devastating death, you were taken in by Mr. Urokodaki. You trained endlessly nonstop until dinner. At age 10, it was hard for you, considering you were left without a family at a young age. Mr. Urokodaki was like a father to you, and many others. It took three years of training until he finally let you enter the final selection.
"You're ready."
During the final selection, you would have to survive in the woods for 7 whole days. This should be easy, right? Wrong. You were running and jumping left and right, killing demons. A couple of days have past and you were starving, forgetting to eat somedays. You have killed 32 demons in 4 days because of the people you saved. It was a long week, but you made it. Limping back to Mr. Urokodaki's place, he was standing there, proud and happy that you came back to him. You were officially a demon slayer.
---------
Wandering around the woods you heard crying. It sounded like a young boy. You have been a demon slayer for 4 years now still training to be a hashira. The voice of the boy got quieter but using your amazing sense of hearing, you dashed towards the sound. Standing behind a tree you watched the horrifying scene.
"Please don't kill her! She hasn't done anything wrong! She would never hurt any human!" the boy pleaded.
There was a hashira holding a sword near a demon's neck. From what you heard, that was the boy's younger sister who got turned into a demon. Your heart broke watching him suffer. He was about to witness his sister's death for god sake! You wanted to do something but you were only a demon slayer, slightly in a high rank. You couldn't stop any hashira even if you wanted to. But you couldn't stand and watch any longer. You started sprinting towards the demon in his hands and snatched her away from him.
Standing in the snow with the demon in your arms, the hashira looked startled and surprised. You grabbed her in .2 seconds, nobody would have noticed it. You started to unsheathe your sword and pointed it near him.
"If he has a reason, you shouldn't kill an innocent demon," you declaired.
"You are a demon slayer, it is wrong to defend any demon in any circumstance!" he yelled back.
The boy was still sitting there watching her, grateful that she had saved his sister life. She was trying to bite you but you pushed her face away from you. Throwing her back to him she sheathed her sword and walked to him.
"I'm sorry for this, I'll see you when you wake.." you said, wacking them both in the head to lose conscious.
"You realize that I am a hashira right?" the raven haired boy said.
"I am very well aware of that thank you very much." you said. "But I'm begging you to surrender to them, please. They've suffered enough already.." you said with sympathy in your eyes.
He started to walk to the young girl. He broke apart a bamboo and tied it around her mouth.
"Send them to Mr. Urokodaki. Tell him you and I sent them." he said before walking away.
"Thank you."
-------
You carried them both to Mr. Urokodaki's place. Your back was in so much pain but as a demon slayer, you had to follow a hashira's orders. You weren't fond with many of the pillars so you didn't know his name. Knocking on the door, Mr. Urokodaki opened the door, surprised to see you in such horrid condition.
"Y- Y/N! Come in please!" he said taking the boy and girl from you as you threw yourself onto the floor. He offered tea as he settled the boy and girl into some futons.
"Y/N, what brings you here? What happened to these young ones?" he asked.
As you explained, the boy slowly woke up. You ran to him and hugged him, so relieved he was okay. Though, you couldn't tell if his sister was. She was fast asleep, you could tell she would be like this for awhile..
"What's your name boy?" Mr. Urokodaki asked him as you gave him water to drink.
"Tanjiro Kamado. That's Nezuko, my younger sister. She got turned into a demon.." he said.
"Tanjiro.. you will be training with me. You are lucky that Y/N was near your area or else you wouldn't be here. Giyuu did good, so did you Y/N, but Tanjiro, you were very brave to stick up to a pillar." he said.
"T-thank you!"
-------
You walked back to headquarters exhausted. You wished you could've spoken nicer to Giyuu considering it was your first interaction with any pillar. It was scary and you didn't want to leave a bad impression on yourself. But he was about to take an innocent life away.
"Y/N Y/N, YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED BY OYAKATA, HURRY HURRY!!" the bird yelled bright early in the morning.
You sat up from you futon and got dressed. You ran to headquarters scared of what he wanted from you. You arrived shortly seeing all the pillars lined up in meeting style.
"Welcome Y/N," he said with a smile.
