My eyes slowly opened in attempt to adjust to the light. I was in a bright, white room. Where even was this..?
"HGH.!" a dagger was thrown directly at my heart.
"Did you really need him to help you? Didn't I raise you to be independent?" the voice of my mother echoed in the room.
...
"I wish I never gave birth to you."
------------
I woke up, the room was bright but only from natural lighting. Sitting up, I look to my side to see Shinazugawa in the bed next to mine. I was at the Butterfly Estate. Odd.. I haven't been here in a while..
"A-ah, (Y/N)-san! Aoi, she woke up!" the little girl called.
Aoi came rushing in. "(Y/N)-san! How are you feeling?"
"I am alright, how long have I been asleep?"
"3 days..."
"3 DAYS?! W-WHAT ABOUT MY MISSION?"
"(Y/N)-san please calm down! Tomioka-san and Shinobu took care of it!"
"A-ah, thank goodness.." I sighed. "I'll be taking a walk outside, I'll come back soon, thank you for your hard work!"
"Of course!" Aoi waved as I got up.
It was sunny and breezy. The flowers were starting to bloom again. I sat down against a tree to think about that white room. The events that occurred in that dream were odd. I was stabbed and.. my mother?
"(Y/N), you're awake.."
I look up and saw Giyuu. He looked tired but relieved. "Giyuu, go rest, you need it. Thank you for taking over my mission." I stood up to leave.
He grabbed my wrist to stop me. "(Y/N).. are you okay..?"
"Why is everyone overreacting? I just got stabbed a few times, I'm fine, don't worry."
"They didn't tell you..?" he said quietly. "Never mind, I'll get going now."
'Tell me something..? What?' I thought.
--------
It'd been a few days since I left the Butterfly Estate. I had some free time so I thought I would visit to see if Shinazugawa had woken up.
I knocked first but nobody responded so I went in. I sighed. He was still asleep.
"Hey, wake up, it's been almost a week." I poked his side. I really did not understand why we slept for so long..? I mean the longest for small stabs would be a day, but he's been sleeping for almost a week. What were they not telling us?
A twitch. His eyes started to open. "O-oh..ohiyo.."
He sat up looking around first then looked at me. "How long have I been here?"
"Um.. almost a week.." he stood up walking towards the door.
"H-hey! Wait till Aoi gets here!"
"I don't need her permission to leave, just tell her for me." he turned away and left.
"Unbelievable."
-------
"Tell me, please Giyuuuu~" I tried to get him to tell me why we had been sleeping for so long. But he wouldn't budge and kept eating.
"Well fine then, I'll find out sooner or later."
We continued eating for awhile until a crow started shouting at us.
"CAW! TOMIOKA AND (Y/N), THERES BEEN AN EMERGENCY NEARBY!! CAW!"
"Let's go." Giyuu said standing up and grabbing his sword.
"Wait, can't I finish eating??" I frowned.
"You're ridiculous."
"Tch! Can't a girl eat their food?!"
---------
Again, I apologize for the short chapter, hopefully I will be able to get a longer one out for you guys sometime this week! <3
