❀ Flower Shop ☾ - Tomioka Giyuu

Chapter 7

You woke up with the sun shining brightly in your eyes. You felt relief after burrying your parents. Especially with two people that you trust. Feeling adventures, you decided to wear your female demon slayer uniform. It would be the first time since you arrived here so you took the chance. It was a little out of your range but you wanted to try something new. Before stepping out of the house, you tied a sheet of cloth around your shoulder, covering the front side of your uniform.

Before stopping at headquarters, it was a nice day for a walk in the flower garden behind headquarters. The breeze blew your hair back making you feel refreshed. As you stepped into the flower garden, you felt somebody's presents. You looked around to find the culprit, you see Giyuu sitting next to a flower bed. He looked so peaceful so you decided to walk somewhere else. It was a surprise to see him there since he usually is on missions and never gets to relax. Slowly stepping away you froze when you heard his voice.

"You don't have to leave," he says.

"I-I wasn't planning to.." you lied.

He turned to face you and asked, "Are you oka-"

"Tomioka-san? Hello?" He randomly stopped mid sentence and started staring at you. Immediately you knew why and laughed. Of course it was because you were wearing a different uniform.

"I look weird, is that what you were gonna say?" you laughed sitting down next to him.

"No, I wasn't.. um forget it.." he says turning back.

You and Giyuu stayed silent for a bit before hearing Momaka and Giyuu's raven screaming at the top of their lungs.

"Y/N, GIYUU, HEAD TO HEADQUARTERS FOR A MEETING!!!" they yelled at the same time.

You got up and brushing the back of your skirt. Giyuu stood up and followed you to the front of the building. Everybody was their except Oyakata. It looked as if they were waiting for you and Giyuu. 

"Oh, there you guys are! You're usually never late, what happened Y/N?" Misturi asked, gesturing for you to sit next to her.

"It was nothing, I visited the flower garden before coming here. I guess I stayed for a bit too long," you nervously laugh.

"Hey.. didn't you just come with Giyuu? Were you guys together?!"

"U-um no.. we just happened to both be in the flower garden.." you said, waving your hands infront.

"He's here!" Sanemi says.

Everyone bows down before being told to sit up. Oyakata has told everyone about a special mission that required groups. For a week, each pair of hashiras would train one demon slayer. This would help newer demon slayers get the hand of extreme missions. They would take their assigned demon slayer to whatever mission they had and wherever they were going. It sounded like a lot of work but would also lift some weight off of the hashiras' shoulders. 

"....Obanai and Mitsuri, Muichiro and Sanemi..." Oyakata continued to list off pairs.

You waited until you heard your name when he finally listed the last group.

"...Giyuu and Y/N," he finishes. "Alright, late tomorrow I'll call you guys back to meet your demon slayer!" 

"Ooh Y/N, you got Giyuu!" Misturi says, excitedly.

"Y-yeah.. and you got Obanai..!" you said, still uneasy with who you got.

You won't admit it but you did like Giyuu for a while and spending an entire week with him would be.. interesting..

You arrived at the headquarters the next day to see that you were the only one there. Surprisingly you were early for the first time. Of course, you didn't know what to do but you most definitely didn't want to walk all the way back. You took a seat on the swinging bench and closed your eyes to listen to the birds chirping. Without realizing, you drifted to sleep.

You woke up to hear someone's voice calling your name. As you opened your eyes, it revealed Giyuu, trying to wake you up.

"Y/N, wake up. Why are you here so early..?" he says.

"O-oh.. I must've fallen asleep, sorry.." you said sitting up properly.

"Did you not have enough sleep? The meeting will start when everyone else gets here.." he says, sitting down next to you.

"No, I probably didn't get enough sleep.. " you replied. "Hey Giyuu, who do you think our assigned demon slayer will be?" 

"I don't know, I hope they aren't annoying.."

"Don't be like that! They will be very nice and kind!" you nudged. You noticed a small smile forming on his face. It was quite refreshing to see him smile again..

Slowly but surely, people one by one arrived. You and Giyuu stayed seated to talk and didn't notice that everyone was talking about you. You looked up to see everyone here so you told Giyuu to go too.

"Hey Y/N, are you and Giyuu umm.. you know.." Mitsuri started, "together?"

"W-what?! Who told you that..? It's not true!" you said.

"Well I don't know, you guys seem to be always together.." she shrugged.

"Maybe because we were paired up..? It's probably just a coincidence.." you said.

Me and Mitsuri watched as everyone was presented their demon slayer. Some looked nervous and then some looked bothered. When it got to me and Giyuu's turn, our eyes widened when we saw who walked out.

"Tanjiro!!" I yelled.

"tanjiro..?" Giyuu mumbled.

"I see you already know his name," Oyakata chuckled, "Than no need for an introduction." 

After everyone left, Tanjiro, Giyuu, and I stayed back to talk. I had totally forgotten about Tanjiro since I haven't been able to visit and I was so busy. 

"It's been awhile Y/N!" Tanjiro bowed.

"O-oh no need to bow!" I said, "We're close aren't we?" 

"Your right! Sorry!" he said.

"Tanjiro, how is Mr. Urokodaki?" Giyuu asks.

"O-oh, well I'm not sure.. I've been living in the butterfly estate for awhile to train.." he says.

"W-WHAT.??" I say, "How come I didn't know..?"

"Probably because I haven't come out ever since.. I made friends too!"

"Oh yeah, Y/N wasn't here when they were escorted here.. When me and Shinobu were on a mission we found him and his sister in the woods."

"Oh, I see.. I think I was on that one mission that took awhile.." I say, putting a finger to my chin.

"It's getting dark and Oyakata-san never told us where we were gonna keep you.." I said.

"He told me to come with you!" Tanjiro says.

"I see, Giyuu, you can go home, I'll take Tanjiro back to my place."

"Alright then, goodnight," he waves.

While we walk in silence, Tanjiro finally said something.

"Hey Y/N, are you and Tomioka-san close now?" he asks.

"W-well, I guess we are clo-ser.." I say. "What makes you say that?"

"You called him by his first name so I just thought you guys were close now," he shrugs.

"Oh.."

"So, do you like Tomioka-san?"
