As you walked towards Oyakata, you bowed.
"H-hello, you asked for me?" you said.
"Indeed. I'd like you to meet the pillars. I'm sure you've been training extra hard to become a hashira, correct?" he replied.
"Y-yes! Of course!" you said fixing your slouch. You looked towards all the pillars, "I-it's a pleasure to meet you all!" you bowed to them.
"Y/N, I asked you to come here to tell you that you have been promoted to a hashira," he said.
You were confused and shocked. Me? Why would I become a pillar so randomly? I don't deserve this! Thoughts came racing in your head. You were sweating extremely and couldn't move because of the amazing news. Was it amazing? You felt as if you didn't deserve it. There were many demon slayers that trained harder than you and deserve the position. But why did he choose you? You realized the silence and snapped back to reality.
"I see you're surprised. That's a normal reaction," he chuckled.
"You will be taken to your own estate soon so please pack up. I hope you get along with your siblings, now," he said walking back.
"T-thank you!" you bowed.
"Yaho! Welcome to the group! I'm Mitsuri by the way! You're Y/N I'm guessing," the girl with braids came up to you.
"H-hello, it's a pleasure to meet you Mitsuri! Indeed I am Y/N unfortunately.. " you replied.
"Oh, don't talk like Giyuu now! Though he doesn't talk much.." she said.
"Giyuu?" you said thinking. You recognized that name but couldn't think of it. Ah! Giyuu Tomioka! You were so stressed about Tanjiro and Nezuko that you forgot all about him.
"Yeah, Giyuu. He's one of us, somehow," she said. "Do you want me to help you walk to your estate? I know where it is," she offered.
"That'd be great-"
"Someone is already taking her," a boy with white hair said.
"Sanemi! I was just being nice unlike you guys who wouldn't even acknowledge her existence!" she yelled back.
"..I think I was suppose to take her.." came a boy with long black hair and blue tips.
"Muichiro? He picked you?" Mitsuri asked in disbelief.
You were just standing there awkwardly but you were looking around for someone. You wanted to find Giyuu since he was the only one you were familiar with. Oh how it would be nice to talk to him again. You remember the image of his beautiful eyes and how his haori matched his hair nicely. Snap out of it! You need to get back to Mr. Urokodaki first and pack up. And say goodbye to Tanjiro and Nezuko..
"A-actually I have to be somewhere right now..I'll come back though!" you interrupted.
"Where?" Mitsuri turned to you.
"Mr. Urokodaki! I was staying with him last night and forgot my sword. Plus, I have to get back to my cabin and pack up!" you said.
"Mr, Urokodaki! I see, you trained with him, just like Giyuu! In that case I hope to see you later! Muichiro will be waiting!" she said winking at me and walking away.
Muichiro looked so kind. He was staring at the sky the last time you saw him. As you walked back to Mr. Urokodaki, you thought about what Mitsuri had said. Giyuu trained with Mr. Urokodaki? Thoughts like that filled your mind. It was getting dark but luckily you made it. You knocked on his door and someone opened it.
"Y/N! You're back!" Tanjiro said.
"Hey Tanjiro, how are you and your sister?" you said walking in. "Hey Mr. Urokodaki!"
"Nezuko is still asleep.. I'm fine, too. Mr. Urokodaki is making dinner, are you staying for the night?" he asked.
"Yes, but I need to leave right away tomorrow morning." you said. "I have something to tell you all!" you said sitting down.
"What is it Y/N?" Mr. Urokodaki said, putting the plates down in the table.
"I've been promoted to a pillar! I don't know how it happened but I'm a hashira now!" you exclaimed.
You all ate discussing the event from this morning this morning. It was lovely to have a relaxed conversation with the people you consider family. Tanjiro was like an amazing brother. Even though you've only known him for a couple of days, he was so nice and caring to you. You felt grateful that you ran into him in the woods.
-----
Morning came shortly and you got up to leave. You were given onigiris from Mr. Urokodaki just in case you got hungry. You walked back to your cabin and packed up your stuff. With one last goodbye, you walked back to headquarters.
"Muichiro, I'm sorry for keeping you to wait!" you said running up to him. He was adorable now that you think of it. He was always dozing off when you saw him.
"Hello, let's get going," he said walking infront of you.
I see, he's not very social. I'll try to start a conversation with him, you thought.
"So, how long have you been a hashira?" you said, catching up with him.
"Hmm, I don't know. How long have you been training?" he asked without looking at you at all.
You were surprised he replied, let alone continued the conversation. "O-oh, I think around 7 years now. Heh, I feel like it's been longer though.." you laughed it off.
"I see."
It was a nice walk to your estate. He was really fun to talk with but he didn't know how to stir up anything interesting. That was what was special about him. You arrived and put your bags down instantly. Falling to your futon after a shower felt amazing and you drifted off to sleep.
----
You soon awoke and got dressed. You walked out to see a kitchen maid preparing you meal.
"O-oh, thank you for the food!" you said, starting to eat.
After you ate you dismissed yourself to visit Mr. Urokodaki and Tanjiro. As you opened the door you find someone leaning against a tree near the entrance.
"You're finally up huh?" they said.
