We both sat in silence as we ate. It wasn't an awkward silence, but a peaceful one. It isn't always when you could eat freely with your friend. Birds chirped and villagers laughed. The yells of market sellers calling for people to buy from them rang in my ears.
"Stay here, I''ll pay." I said.
I came back from paying to see Giyuu waiting for me outside, playing with cats. I stayed inside to watch since it was a beautiful sight to see. His blue eyes match the black cat. But, dreams don't last forever and he spotted me.
"Oh you're done, let's go," he said waving goodbye to the cat.
"I'm going to stop by the flower shop so you can home," I said walking towards the little shop owned by a small family.
I felt another's presence beside and I looked to my right, "I'll go with you."
"Oh, sure!"
I greeted the lovely couple who were behind the register and started to walk around. Flowered whom ranged from A-Z. The shop was filled with different scents like lavender and pollen. As I walked around, Giyuu followed behind me looking around as well. I slightly smiled at him, he looked like a kid looking for toys at a toy store. I stopped in front of simple white flowers.
"What's so special about those?" Giyuu asked.
"Oh, they were my mom's favorite! I'm getting my family some flowers." I replied smelling the nostalgic scent. "You should get some too!"
"..perhaps.." he said, picking up the same flowers I was holding.
I walked to the other side of the store while Giyuu stayed where he was. I was looking for poppy's, which were my dad's favorite.
"Are ya done?" I said walking up to Giyuu. He seemed to be very intrigued in the tulips.
I laughed a bit, "I'll pay first then, take your time."
As I went up to pay, the woman standing there smiled as she took my flowers.
"Are you guys married?" she asks.
"Ah no! We just work together!" I say waving my hands.
Her smile was gone, "Oh my gosh, get married already! You both are perfect for each other! I mean, what's stopping you? You both are young and beautiful!"
"I'm not looking to get married right now haha.." I nervously laughed.
"The next time I see you here, you will be married to him. Alright?" she smiles.
Her smile reminded a lot like my mother's. A soft and caring smile. I knew marriage was not a word in my vocabulary, but it would be nice..
"Sure!" I said giving her the cash. "Oh, I was just finishing, you can pay now!"
Giyuu payed while the woman stared at us and giggled. I could already what she was thinking. 'They would have very cute children' am I right?
As he finished up, I started to walk out. I waved at the woman and her husband while we start to walk away.
"I'm gonna give the flowers tomorrow since I'm tired. What about you, Giyuu?"
"Yeah, me too."
...
"I think Sabito and Makomo will love them," I smiled looking up and breathing in the fresh afternoon air. It smelled like food and daisies.
He smiled at his flowers the entire way back. How can someone be so cute? We weren't close enough to even bring up a relationship, which was a bit disappointing. All the hashiras know that we were close for awhile now. But I couldn't bring myself to believe that I liked him.
"(Y/N), you just missed your turn, isn't your place over there?" Giyuu tugged on my sleeve trying to get my attention.
"W-what? Oh, um yeah! Sorry, I'll see you tomorrow Giyuu..!" I said rushing away from embarrassment. I could tell he was confused since I didn't hear his footsteps walking away.
I sat on the couch looking in the bag of flowers I had purchased. I pulled out the poppy's and tulips but noticed a red rose. I hadn't purchased any roses but.. Giyuu did..?
----
'I pulled on her sleeve slipping in a rose into her bag. I took advantage of her spacing out to give her the flower without being awkward..'

Hey hey hey! I really like this chapter and it was probably the most fun to write!
