❀ Flower Shop ☾ - Tomioka Giyuu

Chapter 3

"You're finally up huh?" they said.

"T-Tomioka-san?! G-good morning.. " you said, shocked.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

You did not expect him to be standing outside your door. It was nice to see him again but you didn't expect to see him this morning. You realized how nice and put together he looked all the time. His hair was tied nicely in the back and his eyes were glimmering in the sun. Without realizing, you were staring at him for awhile. You snapped back to reality to answer his question.

"Hello?" he said, trying to get your attention.

"Ah! I'm sorry, I guess I started staring off into space. I-I'm heading to see Tanjiro," you bowed.

"Why? You have to train today," he replied.

"W-well, you see, Tanjiro is training with Mr. Urokodaki and I just wanted to go and help.. I-I'm sorry, I'll go train soon!" you said.

"Hurry up then," he said coldly and started to walk.

Did he want me to come with him? You assumed he did so you said bye to the house maid and ran to catch up with him.

"How is Nezuko?" he asked after some silence.

"She's still sleeping. Tanjiro is very worried but he's hopeful. I think she's not going to wake up anytime soon," you said sadly.

"I see. We are going up that mountain," he replied.

"The mountain? Why?" you asked.

"I'm training with you."

"For today, I'm going to teach you the eleventh form only, do you know what technique you use?" he asked after you made it up to the mountain.

"Water Breathing. It's what I've always known," you said proudly.

"Just like me, I see." he said unsheathing his sword.

He's water breathing too!? That's great, that makes it easier to train with, you thought. After a couple of hours into training, you got extremely tired and accidentally fell asleep on a tree during a break. You woke up and didn't see Giyuu anywhere. You assumed he just left you there to walk home. What a jerk. You sat there for awhile and picked flowers. It was a nice day to be wasted so you made two flower crowns. You wore the flower crown that matched the haori you were wearing and sat the yellow and maroon flower crown next to the tree. Instinctually, you made that to match Giyuu's haori. But obviously he wasn't there to give it to him so you just left it there. Picking up your sword you started to get ready to leave. But you saw a figure starting to walk to you. 

"Were you that tired?" they said.

"Sorry, I didn't get much sleep," you scratched your head. You felt the flower crown still sitting there and quickly yanked it off.

"It's cute, why did you take it off?" he said, looking at it in your hand.

c-cute..? did he just call it cute..?! you thought.

"H-heh, I-I don't know.." you said, blushing.

He started to walk towards the tree you were sleeping near. You forgot that you had put the one you made for him near the tree and instantly regretted even making the darn flower crowns. He started to walk back to you as you were sulking on the inside.

"I like it, thanks," he said, and started to walk down the mountain.

You looked back at him to see him wearing the flower crown. Wow, he actually wore it.. You put the crown back on and started to catch up with him, smiling.

Morning came and you heard the crow squawking again.

"Y/N, DEMONS HAVE BEEN SPOTTED NEAR OSAKA, NEAR OSAKA I SAY!!!" he yells.

"Okay! I got it!!" you screamed back.

As you sat up you saw the flower crown sitting on your table. The memory replays in your head when Giyuu wore the flower crown. You smiled intensely and got up to shower. As you got changed into your uniform, you realized how many of the pillars you have yet to speak to. Shinobu was one you were interested in talking to because she seemed experienced. But no time for that. You ate and walked to headquarters to see all the pillars greeting eachother, except Giyuu.. You felt bad that nobody cared for him so you walked over to greet him

"Morning, Tomioka-san!" you said.

"Good morning," he said. "I heard you got your first mission today."

"Yeah, I'm nervous, I think it was near Osaka.." you said.

"Well then, good luck," he said and walked inside.

"He sucks at talking," you mumbled.

"Morning Y/N- kun.." Muichiro walking towards you.

"Muichiro! Good morning, it's nice to see you again," you said.

"Yeah, good luck on your mission today," he said, looking up at the sky.

"Thanks," you giggled. You started to walk to the exit to start your mission and saw the crow watching you.

     It's been officially three years since you were announced hashira. You've made pretty decent friendships with everyone but especially Giyuu. You went on plenty of missions together and even walked around in Tokyo from time to time. Mitsuri was first to mention how much you and him were together and asked you the question during lunch.

"Soooo, do you like anyone Y/N? Hmmm?" she asked, as she set down her chopsticks.

"No one in particular, at the moment.." you replied, unsure.

"Yeah right, you totally like Tomioka-kun!!" she said.

"Giyuu?! N-no way, we're just friends!" you said.

"Oh come on, you're the only one he let's to address him by his first name!" she said. "I'm the love pillar, I would know if there was something going on between two people."

"I-it's nothing like that, I guess we're just closer than any other pillar! I bet if you guys were nicer to him, he would let you guys address him by Giyuu, too!" you said.

"Suree. Anyway, since you obviously do like him, I think he likes you, don't worry."

"W-well, I don't know yet! Okay? Just don't say anything to Muichiro.." you said, slightly admitting it.

"AHA, I knew it."

It's true, ever since you guys started to train together, you developed a slight crush in him. But it's impossible for him to feel the same way. Right?
