Chapter 29

The aisle was covered in red carpet with white rose petals on both sides. She stepped on the carpet and looked at everyone in front of her.

Nandoon ang mga kaibigan at ilang malayong kamag-anak nila ni Atticus. Ashley was waving at her from her seat near the altar.

She clutched harder on her bouquet and smiled at everyone. Then, her eyes landed on the man waiting for her at the end.

Atticus. He was wearing a black suit that fitted him so well. He looked every bit the prince charming she wanted since she was a child!

Naglakad siya ng mas mabilis para makalapit kaagad sa magiging asawa niya. She can't wait to be with him and in his arms forever.

And at last, when she reached the end of the altar kung saan nandoon si Atticus katabi ang dalawang best man nitong sina Yego at Aries, she smiled at her man. And he smiled back, happy to see how beautiful she was that day. He was almost in tears when he saw her.

"Hey, my bride," he greeted and took her right hand.

"Hey, husband," she greeted back.

"You look amazing," he whispered to her as he was assisting her to the altar.

"You look dashing in your suit. Quite the prince charming," she commented and smiled.

He smirked at that. "I've always looked like one, haven't I?" pagbibiro nito.

"Well, maybe that's why I was drawn to you even when I was just a kid," sabi niya. And she winked at him.

The priest started the ceremony. It was a beautiful wedding kung saan damang-dama ng lahat ng mga dumalo ang pagmamahalan nilang dalawa sa isa't isa. The wedding was set by the beach, beside the waves of pristine waters.

And when the priest said "You may now kiss the bride!", it was a sight to behold. Nothing would ever surpass that moment in Celine's mind. She was lucky enough to find the man who will love her forever.

"I love you," Atticus whispered.

"I love you too." And Celine captured his face for another kiss.

Ashley received a text message habang pinapanood niya ang kanyang best friend na ikasal. Nang malaman ni Celine na buntis siya, she decided to pursue Fashion school in the country instead. Kukuha na lamang daw ito ng short courses in Paris kapag nagkaroon ng pagkakataon. She was very supportive with her decision to stay with her husband in the Philippines.

She opened her purse and read the message: No one should ever know about what happened between us last night, okay? Atticus will kill me.

Nanlaki ang mata ni Ashley sa nabasa. Ang kapal talaga ng lalaking ito. Para namang ipagsasabi niya kay Celine ang nangyari sa kanila kagabi. Ikinakahiya niya ang sarili sa mga naganap!

She scanned the front row on the right side of the altar para hanapin ang lalaking nagsend ng message na iyon.

There he is, clapping merrily for the newly-weds. At bigla ring tumingin sa kanya ang binata and he even dared smile at her direction! The nerve of that guy! Naiinis siya sa confidence nito.

Pero aaminin niya, his ash blonde hair makes him really sexy. "But you're still a player, Aries. And I don't fall for players," she whispered to herself.

Saritha sat on the bar to order three more drinks. Kailangan niyang makalimot tonight... just for tonight! She looked at the newlyweds na masayang nakaupo sa gitna ng beachside bar na iyon. They are lucky! Lucky to be back in each other's arms.

Weddings make her happy and sad at the same time. Masaya siya para kay Atticus na nakatuluyan nito ang babaeng iniiyakan nito sa Singapore years ago.

Pero nalulungkot siya whenever she's reminded with how Cupid never liked her. She only felt love once in her life at kinuha rin sa kanya iyon ng isang iglap. And after that, wala na ulit ipinalasap na magpapamahal sa kanya si Kupido.

"Stupid," she whispered while drinking her third shot of tequila.

"Woah, aren't you a but aggressive tonight! Stop with the tequilas," singit ng lalaking tumabi sa kanya.

Medyo nanlalabo na ang paningin niya dahil sa alak. Before the tequilas, she's had beer and margarita and vodka kaya medyo may tama na rin siya.

"You look like... my crazy ex," kumento niya sa binatang katabi niya. "I hate him. I hate Yego so much!"

"Why do you hate him so much? Hindi ba at ikaw ang nang-iwan sa kanya?" the guy beside her countered.

Then she just laughed. "Kaibigan ka ba niya? Kamukha mo siya, eh."

"I'll take you to your room. Tara, you've had enough tequila for the night."

At hinayaan niyang alalayan siya nito. Nang marating nila ang part ng resort kung saan tumitigil ang mga guests, kinausap niya ang binata. "You're nice. Not like my ex Yego." And she kissed him on the lips habang papalakad sila malapit sa villa niya.

She opened her door quickly at hinila din ang lalaki papasok ng kwarto. She needs comfort right now, someone to hug her and make her feel like she's not alone. She needs him. She needs Yego.
