"Don't even dare ask for your friend's help para makatakas ka dito. I have bodyguards outside our door. Hindi ka makakaalis ng walang pahintulot ko o hindi ako kasama," anunsyo nito pagkapasok ng kwarto niya.

She didn't reply. She just continued looking at her Twitter account as if Atticus wasn't there.

"I came with a stylist and a makeup artist," he said.

That caught her attention. "For what?" tanong niya.

"I have a company event tonight. A welcome party for me and you're coming with me."

Tumaas ang isang kilay niya. "Why do I need to come with you?"

"I have no one to bring with me and besides, you'll also be part of the board in two weeks." He moved closer to sit on a couch across her.

"Bring someone else. I'm not interested with company affairs," she replied coldly.

"Model talaga," sagot ng make up artist na nag-ayos sa kanya.

"Pak na pak!" the gay assistant of the stylist said. "Siguradong matutuwa ang boyfriend mo niyan!"

"He's not my boyfriend," pagtutol niya kaagad. "He's my stepbrother."

"Ha?" sabay-sabay na sagot ng tatlo sa harapan ni Celine.

The makeup artist replied, "Sabi niya kailangan daw niya ang team namin para sa girlfriend niya."

"Girlfriend? Ang kapal talaga ng mukha ng lalaking iyon."

"Hayaan mo na, siz," sagot ng bakla. "Gwapo naman. Tyaka stepbrother di ba? Magkadugo ba kayo?" tanong nito.

And they heard someone clear his throat behind them near the door. Sabay-sabay silang napalingon to see Atticus in a three-piece black suit. He looked like... a prince charming. Halos mamula ang mukha ni Celine ng marealize niya na hanggang ngayon ay napapanganga pa rin siya sa sobrang gwapo nito.

"Leave us," utos nito sa glam team. Nakinig naman ang tatlo at sunod-sunod na lumabas.

"Ano na naman?" angil niya.

He walked towards her after closing the door. "You look beautiful."

"Alam ko. I don't need your flattery." Tumalikod na siya para tingnan ang sarili sa full-length mirror. "I really look beautiful." Lalong pumuti ang kutis niya sa kulay ng long gown na iyon. And since it was made of crystal beads, kumikinang siya sa suot. It was a tube gown kaya kitang-kita ang mahabang leeg at payat na braso niya.

"You're every inch a supermodel," he whispered behind her right ear. Nagulat si Celine ng malamang nakalapit na pala ito. And then he pulled out a silver necklace with diamond studs at isinuot iyon sa leeg niya. "Wear this tonight."

She touched the necklace and realized that it really enhanced her look tonight. She looked ever more expensive. "T-Thanks, Atticus..." she whispered.

He forced her to face him and now that they were eye to eye, he captured his lips for a kiss. It was just a brief, gentle kiss at first. But Celine didn't know what came into her ng hapitin niya pa lalo ang binata para halikan siya.

For her to love him again slowly... She's given up her body to him again. Hindi niya alam kung isang araw magising na lang siyang pati puso pala niya ay ibinigay niya na naman dito. Kung noong sixteen years old siya ay madali nitong nakuha ang puso at katawan niya, sana naman ay naging mas matalino na siya ngayon.

She hopes so. Ayaw na niyang masaktan ulit.
