chapter 14- christmas

David's pov
"Daddy, Mommy i think santa came!" i heard mason say as i woke up "really bud?" i asked knowing fine well there was a hell of a lot of presents downstairs. "Hey why don't you go wake Izzy and then come back in here" I said hoping that I could get five more minutes of sleep considering it's 6am. He nodded running out of our room and I lay back down pulling Liza, who was fast asleep, into me. She stirred and then relaxed into my chest which made me the happiest guy. I kissed her head and then fell back asleep again for a couple minutes. "Daddy i got Izzy can we open presents now?" He asked climbing over liza and waking her up. "I suppose we should go see if Santa came" I said dragging myself out of bed "Okay you two go wait at the top of the stairs" I told them they nodded in sync and ran off again. "Baby come on wake up" I said kissing Liza's head again. She groaned a little and turned over "it's so early and we were up until two wrapping presents" she said "I know baby but we can take a nap later I promise come on" I said holding out my hand, she took it and we walked to the stairs where the kids were waiting. Izzy soon found her way onto Liza's hip and mason took my hand as we walked down the stairs "look!" He said jumping up and down when he saw the presents under the tree. "Wow bud" I said "oh my gosh he ate the cookies and milk!" He said also pointing at the plate we left out last night. "Yeah I bet he thought they were really good cookies" I said laughing a little as I looked over to Liza who was laughing too. "Izzy look at all of these presents" mason said as he reached up and took her hand. She wiggled out of Liza's grip and walked over to the presents. Izzy's we're wrapped in silver and red paper and masons were wrapped in gold. As soon as they knew that they began ripping them open as me and Liza watched from the side. We were sitting on the floor and Liza was sitting between my legs and her head was rested on my shoulder. I looked over every couple minutes and she would be asleep which made her look so cute.
Mason and Izzy were soon finished unwrapping and had a breakfast of Nutella on toast which will make them hyper for the rest of the day but it's Christmas so it's okay.
We soon all got dressed out of our matching Christmas pyjamas, Liza was wearing some white jeans and a red Christmas jumper, I was wearing a black Christmas jumper and black jeans, Mason was wearing some smart pants and a shirt with a bow tie and suspenders and Izzy was wearing a red dress. We took a couple of family photos since it was tradition before heading to my moms house for dinner. Recently my parents had moved closer to us. They still lived an hour and a half away but it was better than being a plane ride away.
"Okay mace, Izzy shoes on and in the car please" I said handing them both a pair of shoes that liza had picked out. They both sat down and mason put his on and helped Izzy after before they took each other's hands and walked out to the car. "Ready baby?" I asked taking Lizas hand and kissing it. She nodded and we walked to the car getting in and making sure the kids  were strapped in. Our trunk was full of presents for our family and the kids both had loads of the things they had gotten in their hands. "Okay lets go" I said as we began driving.
As we drove, I occasionally looked over at liza. She looked so perfect yet I noticed something was off with her. She hadn't been her chatty, funny, perfect self today. "What's up?" I asked resting my hand on her leg. "Please don't freak out" she said quietly which instantly made me worry. "Okay" I said unsure of what she was going to say "we got a letter the other day and it was addressed to mason and Isabella" she said whispering the last part so the kids didn't hear. I already knew what was coming next "if whoever sent it is threatening my kids or you I'm going to loose it" i said instantly getting angry "shh bubba please you promised" she said. "What did it say?" I asked trying to calm myself down. "It said that they would suffer, that the sender would make them s-suffer and-" she said starting to get upset "it's okay we will deal with it later, it's Christmas come on let's be happy let's forget about it for now because they're both safe and happy" I said to her. She nodded "I love you" I said kissing her hand "I love you too" she replied. I looked back at mace and Izzy they were both passed out in their car seats and they were the cutest in the world. I'm just so damn lucky to have these three in my life.

We soon arrived at my moms, we woke the kids up and they got out of the car newly excited about seeing my siblings. "Okay knock on the door" liza said to Izzy and mason as they excitedly ran up to my parents house. They held hands and knocked together. My mom almost instantly opened to door and embraced Izzy and mason in hugs before hugging liza and finally me. Izzy and mason were quickly given lots more presents which made them super happy and the rest of us all exchanged gifts too.
We were soon all sitting down around the table. Mason was at the bottom of the table sitting with Toby, Ester and Sara and Izzy was sitting up in between me and liza since she was going through a bit of an attachment phase at the minute ever since we left for our honeymoon. We all ate our weight in food and crashed on the sofa for a while after watching Christmas movies and soon after it was time to drive back home.
We said goodbye to my family. "Izzy, mace say goodbye to grandma and grandpa" Liza said "bye love you" mason said hugging them "bye" Izzy copied also hugging my parents. Me and Liza both hugged them goodbye before we got back into the car before the drive home. After half an hour of the drive, it was dark out and mason, Izzy and liza were asleep. I put the car into self drive and took a video of the three of them putting it on my snapchat and Instagram story.
When we arrived home, I woke up liza and we carried the kids up to bed before sitting on the couch together.
"I have one more present for you" liza said as she sat up a little from being snuggled into me "really?" I asked she nodded and moved to face me. "Okay so you know how the other week we were talking about having more kids" she began "yeah" I replied getting a little excited "are you pregnant?" I asked "no bubba but I decided that I'm going to stop taking the pill because I'm so ready to have another baby with you and I think the kids are ready too" she said I simply wrapped her in a hug and placed multiple kisses all over her face which made her smile. "I love you" she said kissing me back "I love you too baby I'm so excited to have another baby with you" I replied.
