Chapter 19- seven

Liza's pov
I can't believe my boy is seven. The little guy that made me a mom has been in my life for seven whole years. It actually blows my mind.
"Have you done it?" I asked Izzy who was 'signing' masons birthday card. Me and Izzy were downstairs making sure all of masons presents looked good on the table and that his candles were lit for when he came downstairs.
"Can they come yet?" Izzy asked impatiently "one minute" I said folding the envolons of the card and placing it in the right place on the table "Okay now" I said "daddy and mason it's time to come downstairs!" She shouted up the stairs "Okay were coming" mason replied as he took David's hand and they walked down. When they got to the bottom me, David and Izzy started singing happy birthday to him, once we were done he blew out his candles. I picked him up and kissed his face multiple times "I can't believe my baby boy is seven" I said. He sat down at his place and began opening presents, he said thank you with every one and he even let Izzy open one which was the cutest and sweetest thing ever to do.
They both had a breakfast of cake which I knew would make them crazy for the rest of the day but it's masons birthday so whatever he wants goes, within reason.

After breakfast, we let them have some iPad time before they got dressed for masons party.
He was having a pool party in our garden since it's super hot out and he has a couple of friends coming as well as our family.
Mason was dressed in some swim trunks and a shirt and Izzy was dressed in her swimming costume and some shorts over it, we had personalised towels for every kid which a company sent us and they also had an pool ring each, since we only had ten people coming.
David was vlogging with the kids and I was setting everything up outside, I had a donut table and we were also ordering pizza, the pool was adjusted to the right temperature and people would be starting to arrive in half an hour.

The first knock on the door sent Izzy and mason haywire with excitement. Mason ran to the door and opened it, hugging his best friend Noah immediately as he saw him. Noah and mace had been best friends since their first day of school and it was honestly the cutest thing ever. Next, Kristen, Scott and Kiera arrived and then David's family and then mine followed by the rest of masons school friends. Izzy was super happy that Kiera was there because they're little best friends too and it's so adorable.
As the party went on, every one was having a good time and the kids were all playing in the pool whilst all the adults sat and talked, it was a good chance to get to know some of the other moms and dads of masons friends which was nice.
Me and David sat together on the outdoor sofa talking to my parents, David's arm was wrapped around my bare shoulders since I was wearing a spaghetti strap top and some shorts. "You look so cute" he whispered to me pressing a kiss on my temple, making me blush as if I was in high school talking to my crush. Well, I was talking to my crush but I'm not in high school. "I love you bubba" I said to him "I love you too baby" he replied.
It was soon time to sing happy birthday. "Okay everyone let's sing happy birthday" I said as all the kids wrapped their personalised towels around them and ran over to mason's cake which was a large cake covered in chocolate which was exactly what mason wanted. He took izzys hand and walked to the front just beside the cake "you can help me blow it out" he said to izzy hugging her. Literally what did I do to deserve this boy. David lit the candles and we began singing "happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you happy birthday to mason happy birthday to you" we all sung together. Mason blew out the candles with a little help from Izzy and everyone clapped "good job you two" I said hugging them both. Everyone ate some cake and then people started to go home. Mason handed out some little bags with sweets and stuff in and soon enough everyone was gone and mason and Izzy were playing in the pool by themselves. Both of them are seriously good swimmers and can both swim confidently without floaties which was down to David teaching them when they were young. "Come on you two you're going to be so wrinkly you've been in the pool for ages!" I said to them grabbing their towels "can we go down the slide once more?" Mason asked "Okay, quickly" I said. Mason helped Izzy up the steps to the water slide and then both slid down together and then swam to the edge of the pool, getting out and running to where I had the open towels, I wrapped them each in their towel and then we went inside. "Hey do you want to prank daddy?" I asked they both nodded excitedly "go and give him a hug hug and then he will get all soaked" I replied they laughed and ran off to David who was sitting on the couch most likely editing "oh my god you are both soaking" he said leaping up and they hugged him they both laughed and it made me laugh a little too. "Good job" I said High fiving them both. "I think mommy deserves a hug for that amazing prank he said smirking, they both wrapped their arms around me, soaking me also. "Okay lets go get you two ready for bed" I said taking their hands upstairs. They both had a shower and changed into their pyjamas before we went downstairs to say night to David since he had to upload tomorrow so he had toys if editing to do. "Good night daddy" izzy said climbing onto him and hugging him "night my little princess" he replied "night" mason said doing the same so the three of them were hugging, which of course I was taking pictures of. "Goodnight my little seven year old" David replied. "Okay go with mommy get some sleep" David said kissing both their heads. I took them both back upstairs and we went into masons room to read a story.
When it was finished they were both asleep, I didn't really want to move Izzy so I decided to leave her with mace since they were all cuddled up to each other. I pulled the comforter over them both and also a blanket before shutting off the light and closing the door so it was onto open a little.
I walked back downstairs and sat on the sofa next to David I snuggled into him as he edited and I must have fell asleep because the next thing I knew David was carrying me to bed, he gently placed me on the bed and he pulled off my shorts for me and threw me one of his shirts which I pulled over myself. "Night baby" he said kissing my head as I drifted back off to sleep "night" i replied in a drowsy tone. I can't believe my boy turned seven, it's so unbelievably crazy.
