Chapter 24- tired

Lizas pov
Even though it was only 10am, I feel so unbelievably tired. The kids are at school and David is at the boys house filming, I'm supposed to be filming but I feel so unbelievably drained, it's not like I've been up all night either, both kids slept through the whole night which is pretty amazing. My phone pinged and I picked it up reading the text 'hey baby, just checking that your okay' David had texted 'yeah bubs why?' I replied wondering why he asked 'you were a little quiet this morning I wanted to check you were okay' he replied. God damn I love this man 'I'm a little tired but I'm okay, love you' I replied 'I love you too' he texted.
I picked up my laptop to begin editing but I'm assuming I didn't get very far considering the next thing I felt was David tapping my shoulder "what?" I asked groggily "I thought you were dead or something I got scared" he said "no I'm fine" I replied resting my head on his shoulder "I wonder why you're so tired" he said pulling me into him and kissing my head. I shrugged "I don't even know" I replied. "I'm sure you'll be fine in a couple days maybe you're coming down with something, the kids had it last week" he said "probably" I replied "I better get editing" I said sighing and picking up my laptop again beginning to edit my video "I suppose I should edit too" he said joining me on the couch with his laptop, I smiled "couple goals" I said laughing "yes we are baby" he replied.

"Mommy!" The kids said running over to me standing in their playground as I collected them "mace and Izzy" I replied I the same tone kissing both of their heads "look what I made"
Izzy said handing me and large piece of paper with lots of splashes of paint on it "wow Izzy that's so good" I replied "that's daddy, that's you, that's mason and that's me" she said pointing at the different splashes of paint "wow, I love it" I replied. We walked back to the car and got in.

David's pov
My three favorites got back into the car and Izzy showed me the cutest picture ever that she had made of us. "Home?" I asked resting my hand on Lizas leg "yeah" she replied yawning "are you sure you're feeling okay?" I asked her, I'm super worried about why she's so tired, I really hope she's not getting sick or if it's something serious. "Yeah I feel fine just super tired but I'm sure I'll be okay" she replied "is mommy sick?" Mason asked curiously "no I'm okay" Liza replied "she's just a little tired today" I said, Liza then turned on the radio and we sung and danced all the way home. One of the best things about mason and Izzy is that they both get me and Liza so so much and they are exactly like us. Instead of getting embarrassed when we are dancing and singing in the car they join in and it's the best thing ever.
We soon arrived home and we ate and spent time together which was super fun, we ended up ordering take out since neither me or Liza could be bothered to cook. We put the kids in the bath and to bed like every night and then we went to bed ourselves, cuddling up and watching some Netflix for a while. Even though it's not like going out, it's the little amount of 'us time' that we have every night so we treasure it. "Babe" i said to liza as stranger things series three, that we were rewatching played in the background "yeah" she replied, keeping her head on my chest "so, I filmed two bits this week and I can't decide which I want to post, there's a bit where we're all making jokes but I'm scared it's a little too offensive and there's also a bit where we were lighting off fireworks but it's a little boring" I said, then waiting for a reply "Liza?" I asked after a couple seconds I looked down to see her eyes closed and she was completely passed out on top of me. I kissed her head and turned off the show snuggling in with her "I love you baby" I whispered to her even though she was asleep. I pulled the comforter over us both and placed a last kiss into her curls before also falling asleep.
