25 - Puppy

Alex's POV (Aries)

It was a long ride to the vet after Taylor's little panic attack. I never expected something so common to be so far from our home.

I was sitting in a two person seat with Chase, who was on his phone, texting someone. Gabriella and Summer were sitting together in the seat in front of us, holding the dog who was looking around excitedly.

Taylor was calm at the moment, since I couldn't hear her whimpering. I turned around and saw Taylor and Leo sitting together in one of the near end back seats. Taylor was now calmly sniffling and Leo was talking to her about something while softly playing with the back of her hair.

I was upset to see her like that, I don't know what the hell she went through in the past, but right now I think it's fair to say she kind of overreacted about a dog barking. Nothing against her though.

I heard some giggling and I looked at the seat behind us. Behind our seat was Codi and Pia who were whispering and giggling after. I rose a brow at them, and I opened my mouth to say something, but Chase nudged my side with his elbow, giving me a warning look that told me not to.

I rolled my eyes and leant back in my seat. Chase looked back at his phone, but then he closed it and looked at me. "Girl talk. You wouldn't want to get into it." He explained, not-so-quietly.

Hell yeah I want to get into it. I turned around and looked at Codi and Pia, who both looked at me when I did. Pia stayed silent, but Codi smiled happily. "Oh, hi Alex!" She said enthusiastically, which was kind of enjoyable to watch. I could see Chase glaring at me.

I smiled at her. "Hey Codi." I then eyed them both. "What're you guys talking about?" I asked. Codi and Pia looked at each other and then looked at me and grinned. "Nothing!" Pia said. "Hey, how do you keep your hair like that?" Codi asked. It was plainly obvious that she wanted to change the subject, but I didn't really care.

I blinked, but then pushed my fingers through my hair. "Mm, are you gonna do the same style with your own?" I asked, smirking.

Pia looked at Codi and gave a snicker, putting her hand on her mouth to cover it.
Codi smiled shyly. "Maybe." She answered, making me chuckle. "How adorable." I replied, tilting my head.

Chase sighed. "Alex, let it go, they're gonna want you to talk to them more." Chase mumbled so only I can hear, but I think they heard too.

I rolled my eyes and looked at them. "Chase is being an asshole right now, ignore him." I said, making them laugh, especially Codi.

Codi played with her black hair a bit, looking down, then at me.

Then I got deja vu.

Realistically.

I stared at her intensely. Codi blinked in confusion. "Are you ok, Alex?" She asked. I nodded and pressed my fingers on my head a bit. "Um, yeah. I just remembered something." I lied.

Codi nodded, looking down for a moment and back at me. That black hair, those grayish blue eyes.. What the hell...

I saw Codi looking at me in slight curiousity and interest. Chase looked at me, then at the two girls behind him. We stayed silent for a small moment before Pia gave a laugh and leaned in, whispering something in Codi's ear, causing Codi to let out a little laugh.

"We're here!" I heard Summer yell happily. Everyone leant towards the window, as did I, since I was on the window side. Chase leant next to me a bit to see a big vet that wrote 'Paws & Claws' along with a big pink and blue paw symbol next to it.

Thomas parked the van and Gabriella and Summer were the firsts to run out of the van happily, the dog in their hands. I grinned and ran past Chase who was obviously was taking his chance.
