Chase's POV (Capricorn)
"You're such an asshole. I don't even know why Codi allowed you to come anyway." I heard the feminine, stubborn voice say.
I looked down at the girl who walked beside me, Sky. Despite her annoying personality, she had a good sense in style. She was wearing an oversized, dark green shirt that looked like I belonged to men, along with some black tights and black military boots. Her black hair was pulled up into a messy ponytail, some strands sticking out here and there.
In front of us, Alex, Codi and Summer were having a conversation, while Sky and I were stuck in the back, continuously insulting each other.
We didn't really know where we were walking, just exploring our new home, I suppose.
"Codi allowed me to come cause she had a good sense in people until she invited you." I answered.
"I was invited first, dumbass." She spat back.
"Of course she did. Who wouldn't want to take their pet for a walk?" I answered.
"Could you both shut the hell up?" We heard a voice snap. We both looked in front of us to see Codi looking at us with an unreadable expression. She seemed to sulk a bit from our glance. "Please?" She asked afterwards a bit shyly.
I blinked in slight shock and smiled reassuringly. "Alright." I nodded. Codi sent me a smile and turned back to talk to Summer and Alex.
Sky rose a brow and looked at me. "Might as well ask her out." She said.
I rose a brow and looked down at her. "Excuse me..?" I asked.
Sky crossed her arms and shrugged, looking to the opposite side of me on purpose. "You heard me." She answered.
I looked in front of myself for a moment, then at her again. "I'm sorry- What's going on right now?" I asked, genuinely confused.
Sky rolled her eyes. "How dumb are you?" She asked, swiftly moving her amber gaze to me.
I rose a brow. "Very, apparently." I answered. Sky sighed. "You know, you're so nice to every other girl here, why can't you do the same to me?" She asked me, looking downward.
I looked at her for a moment, then blinked a couple times, looking away, then back at her. "Maybe cause you insulted me for having the ability to cook." I answered.
Sky gave a quiet laugh. "Don't lie, a goat being able to cook is funny~" She cooed.
I smirked and looked up in sarcasm. "I guess it kinda is." I said, looking back down at her. Sky smiled and moved some of her black hair out of her face. "You suck, but I suppose you aren't horrible." She said, looking up at me with a teasing look, a smile on her face.
I smiled back at her, softly nudging her side. "That's what friends are for. To cook and get insulted." I joked, chuckling afterwards, earning a little laugh from her, which was kinda cute.
"Since when did I say we were friends?~" She asked, smirking softly at me.
I blinked over at her, smirking back. "You didn't. Buuut, if you really hated me, you'd probably be choking me by now." I answered.
"Don't tempt me." Sky said, laughing afterwards.
"Ah, don't forget your step stool when you do." I added, looking down at her with a small smile, blinking my dark hazel eyes softly.
Sky looked up at me, her eyes gleaming with sass. "What's that supposed to mean?" She asked, crossing her arms.
I gave an inaudible chuckle. "I don't think you can reach my neck with that height, princess." I teased, looking around to avoid her gaze.
