Codi's POV (Cancer)
I looked over at a guy with almost every same feature as me...
Black hair, gray eyes, a name that has only four letters, a name that starts with 'co'...After Gabriella ruined the silence, everyone started breaking into conversations with their matches or friends.
Maybe I should introduce myself.I got up and walked up to Cole, who just gave me a small smile. I smiled back and sat down next to him. "So, I guess we both represent Cancer." He said. After a second, he seemed to realize how wrong that sounded.
I gave a sweet laugh and a tilt of my head. "I know what you mean. I'm Codi." I took out my hand. Cole smiled and took my hand and shook it. "I'm Cole." He introduced.
"So what do you think about this zodiac sign thing? I-I mean, I've heard of them before, from my grandparents, but they also said that since I was born, they've went missing." I explained, looking away then back at him.
Cole thought a bit, his gaze averting to the floor. "Well... I've heard of it too, but I thought: 'why would everyone worry about some stars'. I don't even know what they represent or do." He said.
I smiled. "Oh, zodiac signs determine people's personalities, and how they act according to the date they were born in." I explained.
Cole looked at me with a rose brow. "What? People actually believe that?" He asked, making me shrug. "Everyone says it's accurate."
Cole inhaled deeply. "I don't know. I don't think the time you were born and the position of the sun can determine your personality. Everyone's different." He shrugged.
I gave him a little smile, tilting my head at him. "We're alike, and we're both Cancer." I say. I meant for it to be motivation to actually believe in this astrology.
Cole looked at me and smiled warmly. Before he could reply, Thomas spoke. "Alright, everyone, I'm not done explaining." He said, gaining everyone's attention.
Thomas continued, "After the zodiacs signs have fallen to earth and took over you all, I was sent to earth-"
"Whoa whoa whoa, wait-" A voice cut him off, and the voice seemed to be coming from a guy named Samuel. "You did what?" He asked again, obviously lost.
Thomas gave a small smirk and laughed gently. "Oh, yes, I forgot to mention, I am not human. I am originally named Apus, constellation of 'the bird of paradise'. I was sent to earth to find the 24 of you. I figured building a very successful high school school would get your attention. I've been commanded to let you guys live your lives as humans until you all pass away, and until then, I am your trainer. But once the day comes, we all become stars again. Humans can't process without their zodiacs."
He smiled as he explained what was happening. He fancily held both of his hands behind his back, his blue-yellow eyes looking at us all, his smile turning into a sarcastic smirk at his last sentence.I blinked in a bit of surprise, and everyone seemed to be confused.
"Well, aren't you just a little ray of sunshine?" The guy named Skyler spoke, putting his elbow on his knee and resting his cheek in his palm.
Thomas gave him a smirk. "Her words, not mine." He said, lazily picking up his hands in sarcasm.
"Who is 'she'?" The guy named Vance asked. "You've been mentioning this lady this entire time." He added, his light brown eyes flickering with the desire for an answer.
Thomas sighed. "Of course you don't remember..." He mumbled under his breath, looking away. But he picked his gaze up again and eyed us all, straightening his posture again. "Here's another story," He began.
