Jungkook was eyeing a little blue pill, stamped with a big K, which was by now a symbol of pure euphoria- it being made and supplied by the same team of people, Kim Kwangsu's own empire of drugs and death all orchestrated in a pill form to be taken under poor judgment.
Jungkook thought it was beautiful. It felt like holding a chunk of the streets and whatever roamed around them.
" like it, kooks? " yoongi spoke lowly, voice hushed as they waited in the living room for seokjin to come back with the rental so they could drive to Soho and start their night, boxes fully stoked with MDMA laid out in front of them.
" Very much. " he whispered, " can I take it? "
Yoongi frowned, looked around and then nodded. " but only this once. Got it? "
" yeah, hyung. " and with that he swallowed it in one go, not thinking too much and following yoongi when their rental arrived.
He noticed it was a car model they had rented before and got into it quickly while yoongi carried a couple of boxes back to the rental.
The car was slightly smaller than he'd remembered, using it before for these kinds of dangerous operations, he convinced himself everything's fine and watched yoongi load boxes into the car, then getting in the driver's seat.
" so, " yoongi said and started the car, " should I go over our plans? "
Jungkook nodded slowly, suddenly painfully aware of how slow things got, as if life were in slow motion and yoongi was on mute, everything's passing him by and leaving a tingly sensation on the tips of his ears- he coughed and flinched trying to make it go away and yoongi asked, " kooks, you alright? " which made him snap out of it with a heave.
" Yeah, alright, " Jungkook mumbled, clutching his chest, " guess so. "
Yoongi chuckled and glanced briefly at him, " the Molly's kicking in, huh? "
Jungkook couldn't focus on answering, all he felt was confusion and stress, anxiety taking over him and he wanted to tear off the roof of the car and run out, get some air. It felt stuffy to the point his chest felt heavy and he struggled to breathe.
Yoongi noticed his wide eyes, " relax. We're almost there. "
" okay. " he let out, mind running wild with violent assumptions on what was happening, and he held back an agonizing whine in response to his own thoughts.
" fuck. " he whispered when realizing the night has only began.
The road seemed so long, and he couldn't stop hyperventilating until they reached the club front and even then, the loud music thumping his chest wasn't of aid.
" get out and help me with the stuff. " yoongi spoke before killing the engine and stepping out, opening the trunk with jungkook by his side and stuffing the inner pockets of his jacket with little transparent baggies filled with pills, about 3 or 4 each.
" take this. " he said and shoved some baggies into jungkook's hands, who stuffed them into the black fanny pack strapped across his chest- an item which he bought purely for the aesthetic, but came to found was also practical at different fields of use. His hands started to shake, and he was both surprised and anxious, thinking fresh air has made the feeling go away and realizing it wasn't the case.
" hyung, I'm dying. " he gasped and turned to look at yoongi, who chuckled and pulled him to the entrance.
Looking at the crowd, he was stunned by how proud people were of their sexual orientation- men of all ranks standing around, some in drag and laughing loudly along their group of friends. It only made jungkook even more nervous- how could they? Is it that easy? Is there something wrong with me? And the obvious shock accompanying situations of this kind- realizing he's been surrounded by homophobes and heterosexuals for so long that it was weird seeing so many people like him, it's almost like he convinced himself he was the only gay man alive, even when he knew it wasn't true.
