“Life isn’t fair. Nothing is.” –– Skailar
I DIDN’T KNOW HOW OR WHAT TO THINK OF THIS MEANINGFUL DREAM. How much more vivid could dreams get?
I knew that I was throat-chokingly in love with this boy. This mysterious, alluring, secretive boy. But that meant nothing. I hardly knew him. I didn’t know him at all yet he intoxicated me into spitting my entire life story to him.
His brother intrigued me, though.
Both of them had that I’m fine so I’ll show it but I know I’m not kind of faces.
For that I pitied him. He was full of anguish and secrets.
Secrets I were determined to get him to share.
So I’d never question his absence and desperation to avoid me. He needed space. But I’d only give him so much time before I’d draw a line as to spend equal amounts of time with him.

“Are you enjoying the party?” I asked him dully, not having much fun myself.
He looked at me coldly.
“I’d have a better time failing at hunting boar.” Felix muttered, shaking his head. I sat on top of the table, gazing down at his head as he hunched over, his elbows over his knees, swirling some soda which he never drank.
“Then why’d you come?”
“Because you asked me to.” he glanced up at me and my eyes were frozen in place when his smoldering effect snatched my gaze. Only when his blink broke the hold, I shook my head.
“Well, thank you, then. How do you put up with it?” I ask dramatically.
“It’s not without difficulty.” he sighed, tossing the soda from his cup into a bin as we tried ignoring the pain-throbbing bass from inside the gym.
It’s not without difficulty. I knew what he meant. Being with me. The party was probably the last thing on his mind.
We were on the other side of the school, in the cafeteria and it felt like we’d pressed our ears against the speakers.
We stared out the French sliding doors, the cool night breeze blowing my hair back. I had the worst feeling that I stood out in the crowd of seniors even more.
Every guy had suits on, looking formal and absolutely gorgeous. And that was everyone.
